Hey, everyone!, here is my next update....FINALLY!!, thanks for being patient! -Photo 1: I got a huge amount started on the rear frame work!...i need to finish the built-in roll bar, some intercooler mounts, and all the suspension bits. -Photo 3; It works really well leaving the old rear area to help keep things all lined up while i fabricate. After i attach a rear mounting point, then i will get rid of all the rest of the original stuff. -Photo 4: Here i made some really strong contact points around the interior tub...makes for a quick, no-brainer assembly. -Photo 8: I needed to cut open the pulley access panel for more realism...i need to SB a better one. -Photo 9: For anyone whose built this kit before, you know how sloppy/weak the front contact tabs are...i added better ones.

Re-engineering Monograms Lotus Esprit...new update!
Dann Tier replied to Dann Tier's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Welcome, Ben!, and i'm glad you you stopped in to check it out! I coulda swore that a resin company made the one you are talking about, but it was only curbside. Sadly, i think its out of production now -not sure. I know i said before that i would be back to this one soon, but life keeps getting in the way lately. I will keep trying to get more done as soon as i can. -
I have this kit too, and this is EXACTLY what i came up with for my solution too. Something else that will help with the issue, would be to paint a tint-strip accross the top of the windscreen after you cut it away from the rest of the part. For gluing it in, I'd slightly dilute canopy glue, and flow it around the inside perimeter with a brush.....works like magic!!....I would tape the windscreen in place by the A-pillars, flow the glue into the roof, and bonnet sides....when dry, remove the tape, and glue the A-pillar edges. I NEVER like to use the side glass bits....i make my own as well. By the way, yours is looking BRILLIANT!!!!

Hasegawas Lamborghini Miura SV....new update!
Dann Tier replied to Dann Tier's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This kit is what i call a 3/4 engine kit. It has most of the engine bits, in fact, it still has more engine parts than most revell/amt kits. Each part is VERY detailed, and with the right detailing...as you will see here, will still look VERY realistic!!....i bet you could actually open the rear cowl to display the engine, if you do the right detailing to it....i may do that sometime to show people....- 213 replies
