  1. I love the 80s, even though it was a dumb decade. Excellent build!
  2. Recently had some great transactions with Stockboresme, Dragline, and iBorg. Would trade again, zero issues or concerns.
  3. Or C: they reached out to the copyright holder and purchased the rights to use the image.
  4. It's not so bad. For every -30 degree day, we get a 30 degree day. Yeah, we get snow and colder tmeps between November and March, but our summers get nice and warm. We're not always the frozen wasteland we're sometimes made out to be. And it's been years since I've had to fight a polar bear to get a hockey puck back.
  5. So I received some pics yesterday from one of my suppliers. Pretty excited. He owns a company that builds our service bodies. I have a truck in production that's going to get a pretty eyecatching build. Taking this service truck build "next level." Aluminum cabinets, custom paint. The chassis itself is in production, should be arriving at the builder in early December, and the body starts production within the next week or two.
  6. I liek them both, but of the two...VAN.
  7. Currently sunny and not snowing. But it snowed from abotu 8pm Halloween until about midnight last night. Not much snow, only about 2 or 3 inches, but enough to make the roads icy and confuse 3/4 of the drivers out there. Didn't bother me though. I'm a firm believer in making snow tires mandatory here in Alberta. "I have all season tires and four wheel drive, I'll be just fine." Nope, you're wrong. The added traction, and hugely improved ability to stop and turn is just awesome. Like driving on dry pavement. Rant over, I love winter.
  8. Should do a revised poll with only those two options.
  9. It drives me nuts. The guy that can't put on chains becuase he never puts on chains?! GTF off the road. At some point, common sense should take over, and if you don;t have enough of it to realize you need chains in those conditions, then you don't have enough sense to be driving for a living. Lots of snow there. I love winters like that!
  10. I like Bill's idea. Let's allow selling, but let's generate some income for the site. Maybe a seller's sub-secton that requires a password? Password only available if you pay for it? Or a fee per post?
  11. It's a PITA, but you unbolt the back half of what Road Armor call the "Intimidator Guard" and lip it out of the way.
  12. hmm...I have two that easily comes to mind. ESCI Ford Transit. Molded in red, in the Ford promo box. I bought this at a car boot sale at Beaulieu Motor Museum in England back in the late 80s. Built it, displayed it, used it to store things, it eventually fell in to disrepair and was tossed. Would love to have another. Lindberg Ford Thunderbird - this is a crappy 1.32 kit, but the '78 Thunderbird was my first car, and I want to build a duplicate.
  13. Today I'm pleased that my instincts are correct. The weather channels have been predicting snow for the past week. "Watch out, it's going to snow later today" Yeah, well hearing that evewry day for the past week or so, and not seeing anything. Well yesterday, I got this feeling, so had our promo/events truck put in our shop and it underwent the winter mode transformation. And sure enough, last night, we got our first blast of winter. It started raining while the kiddies were trick or treating, and then we wake up this morning to wind and an inch or two of snow. And my drive was just fine, because winter tires are awesome. Ugly, but awesome. This pic was taked yesterday afternoon, before the weather turned.
  14. Well, although I'm one of those oddballs who likes winter, and loves the snow, we got our first blast of winter over the past 24 hours. And although my garage is insulated, it's not heated, so painting models is going to be a challenge for a while. So for the next few months, every time we go see my parents, I need to bring a car body or two and use my dad's spray booth.
  15. Unfortunately no. The one time the post office guy doesn't process something with a tracking number this happens. And I ALWAYS get tracking numbers. I think pretty muich everyone here I ever traded with gets a tracking number. This time, it was missed, and of course... Anyway, I'll give it to the end of the week, and then plan B goes in to effect.
  16. Bob (Dragline) appears to have had a delivery issue. There may have been some mail theft involved. Hoping it shows up this week, and is just on a really slow mail truck.
  17. Excellent work! I dig the laptop details.
  18. For funsies, here's my halloween costume from a couple of years ago. I grabbed a van here at work, and decked it out. Then slow cruised our parking lot, beckoning to the girls in our rental department.
  19. Went to a train swap meet on the weekend with my dad. Found a couple of kits. I like dealing with train guys, because they don't give a hoot about models, so want to be rid of them. These were both factory sealed, and cost me $15.
  20. I'm curious about the Van. Have you got some pics of that one?
  21. For those who dig it, here's a decent 14 minute doc. Perfect to watch while on coffee break or while eating lunch.
  22. Very impressed. That weathering looks perfect.
