  1. Ugh. That sucks. I dropped a pickup box over the weekend that had just been sprayed. Luckily, nowhere near complete, so still an easy fix. Still, butter fingers are terrible! Your build looks good though. Time to resurrect it!
  2. Did you like the original Blade Runner? Because that movie had a lot of the same sort of criticisms, and I loved it. Haven't seen the new one yet, but we're going to this weekend. And I've heard no so-so reviews so far. It's seems to be either love or hate!
  3. Not shipping to Canada. Cheapest one on eBay right now is $80CDN inc shipping.
  4. Whoops! lolz
  5. Very cool! Have definitely never seen one of these before. I'm itching to see what kit arrives in my mailbox!
  6. Argh! I've been hunting for this one for a while. Haven't stumbled across one yet that wasn't ridiculously priced! Want to trade? lolz
  7. The Dark Terror was great, but I found this one has just a little more warmth when playing clean. Which is odd for me, because I'm a metal guy at heart. My reasoning though is that if I want metal, I have my main rig. I'd never really given Orange much thought before, but I think I may have to when I get the itch to upgrade/change amps. Having said that, I can;t see wanting to ditch the 5150 any time soon. It's just perfection to me!
  8. Count me in with whatever the poll decides. How long is the poll open for?
  9. Heck yeah! Some good, modern, US kits! The Fujimis and Tamiyas of the world are doing a decent job on cars from Honda/Acura, Nissan, Porsche, Lamborghini, etc, but where are some high quality versions of modern American vehicles? Current model pickups SUVs Dodge Chargers Chevy Cruze Chevy Volt (yes, I too want to see that kit) Even a new Mustang or Camaro from Tamiya would be great.
  10. You've just described pretty much every kit I build! lolz But I eventually finish everything, because the OCD in me cannot stand an unfinished build. Maybe I'm different, but I like being forced out of the comfort zone, and seeing what I can come up with. And when I see a deadline, I meet it. Call it conditioning from working in sales and management.
  11. Thought of another one. "Scratching The Surface" - can be anything, but a significant portion of the build must be scratchbuilt. I know a lot of people here are great at scratchbuilding, but I think they are even more people who do amazing work, but don't scratchbuild anything. Then there's the mediocre builders like me, who have always wished for scratch skills! Good opportunity to "force" us to bust out the Evergreen!
  12. For those who don't understand what Gord meant to Canada... http://www.torontosun.com/2017/10/18/ahead-by-a-century
  13. Nice build! My very first car was almost a blue Citation hatchback. Ended up with a brown '78 Thunderbird instead.
  14. Truck looks great, but I'm most impressed with the trailer interior details. Haven't seen many people pull that off before.
  15. If someone did ding you, would you even notice?
  16. Wow. As a lover of wagons, and the 80s in general, I can't wait to see this one done.
  17. I'm not even sure one could figure out where to begin with a replica of that thing! Anyone have pics of the interior?
  18. Totally agree Bob! As I said, your builds are diverse, but I haven't seen you do anything like this one yet. Hopefully you like it! Great news about your mom, great to hear that she's recovering nicely. And don't worry about any delays. What you have going on there is 1000X more important than anything going on around here! But now that we know everything is looking good, you have no excuses. Now hurry up with that awesome Countach build. lolz
  19. I'm not a Ford guy, but I am a truck guy. Watching with great interest.
  20. Awesome.
  21. All of your builds are amazing, but this one is just talking to me. I love it.
  22. I like to think of all my builds as resto-mods. I think they look accurate, and I think they look good in my display case. And if others love to build and nail the details, that's cool too. I appreciate the skill, the knowledge, and the builds, even if it's not how I'd do it. Kind of like 1:1 cars. I can appreciate any modded car, because I recognize talent. So even though I'll never own a Japanese import car, I can respect the effort that goes into some of these. Same as with this goofy hobby. Because at the end of the day, it IS a hobby, and if it puts a smile on your face, then build them your way.
  23. Myself, I hate chrome. I just won't own a vehicle that has a ton of chrome. Unless it's a truck no newer than 1997 or a car older than 1980. How much does it bug me? Back in 2015, I have one of the special edition Ram 1500 Sports in Ignition Orange. Here's a pic my dealer took the day it arrived, you can see the chrome grille inserts. And then the second pic is the following day, about an hour or two after I brought it home. Chrome gone!
  24. Around here, there are just as many 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks as there are 1/2 ton trucks. Heck, I have a 2018 Ram Power wAgon (3/4 ton) on order, and spent the spring and summer driving a 2017 F350 Platinum. Heavy duty trucks are a very common sight! Anyway... I'd be into most of the fantasy kits posted here. That Ford wagon? The Greyhound? the used car? Sign me up.
