  1. We have a local gem of a used car lot. It's all consignment, and it's all classics. Lots of custom cars and trucks, hot rods, muscle, you name it. So we were driving past yesterday, and something caught my eye. Kind of thinking about this one. 1979 Ranchero. Needs some bodywork, but it's mechanically sound. Rockers are pretty solid, underside looks good, The rear quarters and front fenders are toast, everything else is surface rust. Interior pretty clean. Has a 351 under the hood. Starts and runs really well. Hmm... He also has this beast of a Cougar. Which I also dig. The Mustang in the background would make a great project.
  2. I'm going to call this a good thing. Was a little warm when I got in the car yesterday to head home. That's about 107.5 F. Had been parked in the sun for about an hour. Actual temp was 29 C. Spring weather is unusually warm here for this time of year. And we'll take it.
  3. I'm with TJ above. I find it relaxing, even when it's frustrating. And when I sit at the bench in the garage, no one bothers me, I can just unplug from everything and build.
  4. She loved it! She's 15 and this was her first general admission show. We went out on the floor for the openers, Bullet For My Valentine, but she wanted the option of sitting during Megadeth. Which my middle aged been at work all day body appreciated! I've never pushed my musical tastes on the kids, but both of them are big fans of the heavy stuff!
  5. Canadian icon. Gone at 84. https://www.ajournalofmusicalthings.com/rip-gordon-lightfoot-dead-at-84/
  6. This was at my buddy's shop yesterday. So nice.
  7. Yesterday was a good day. Busy at work, delivered bunch of new trucks to a new client. And it looks like myself and our other fleet manager are now the EV division here at the dealership too. Mainly because we're pretty much the only ones selling any EVs. And Ford is really focusing on commercial fleets and electrification, so it's a good fit. More importantly than all of that though, took my daughter to see Megadeth last night. First saw them back in 1991 with Testament and Judas Priest. And last night's show was just as good.
  8. There's a reason all of our vehicles have dashcams.
  9. What's the name of that Ikea piece? I like it, might need to go find one for myself!
  10. Jerry Springer died. It was a parasite. Turns out Jerry was the perfect host.
  11. Luna. Just hanging in the yard the other night. She's happy that the cold weather is gone, but she wants everything to green up immediately so she can start eating mum's plants.
  12. I had a look and the account you just posted with appears to be your only one. No other accounts attached to your email address or IP address.
  13. What a lot of people kind of forget is that inside some of these cartoon-y boxes, there are some fantastic kits! I have a couple of Fujimi Porsches where the box art looks like some sort of toy, but the kit inside is awesome.
  14. Seriously though, I've always thought some of these Fujimi kits had some pretty out there artwork. I'm sure it's a cultural thing, I find it weird and bizarre.
  15. The boldness of the negative space. ?
  16. I love my hair metal. Here's one of Stryper's early albums. Look at these goobers. lolz And someone actually produced a toy of the "BattleVan." Googled it. It exists. I need to find one.
  17. Ahh the joys of homeownership! I could spend the tax return 10 times over, without even getting to fun things.
  18. Not even! I passed him at the next light!
  19. I use one from Thinkware. HD camera, works well in lowlight conditions. This is the only bozo I've caught so far. MAN_1970_01_17_06_37_52_F.MP4 As an aside, when our insurance company found out we run dashcams, they lowered our rates a little.
  20. So is this basically the same as the Coke version from a few years ago?
  21. That is a cool looking truck. I'd totally drive that thing as is.
