  1. 4 doors, with a stubby box... Ford Model A Sport Trac? Looks good!
  2. Only some of them.
  3. Can't speak for the fires out east, but here in Alberta there has been no rain to speak of for weeks. And definitely no thunder/lightning. I'm sure some there have been lightning strikes somewhere here, but not enough to start everything ablaze. I'd say the vast majority of these fires are most certainly caused by humans. A hot exhaust from a bike or side by side in the tall grass? Errant cigarette? Firepit, even though there are firebans in place?
  4. Well then. More evacuations, about 90 minutes from here. Town called Edson. Highway is closed, so no heading to the mountains this weekend.
  5. I still buy my car audio stuff from Crutchfield! On most vehicles now, changing head units just can't be done. Speakers and amps can be changed or supplemented though.
  6. Excellent colour choice! I'm a little biased though. Have a look at MCM Issue 217. Your hood looks like it fits better than mine did. Great build!
  7. There's a certain blonde lady down there doing just that. How exactly does one blame a country for being on fire? Gosh darned Canada, control your lightning strikes, and enough with the unusually hot and dry weather.
  8. I have met people (yes, more than one) who legitimately believe the earth is only a few thousand years old. ?
  9. I would not trust that person with a major decision like buying a house. How can you take a person like that seriously? Do you think she dressed up for the photo to show her quirky personality, or is that her everyday look? So many questions.
  10. It's been kind of crazy. Our area here in Alberta was one of the first this year to get hit. This pic was in the New York Times. It's just under and hour drive from here. Lots of evacuation orders for a while there. We didn't have any immediate threat where I live, but lots of smoke. Lots of ash falling for a couple of days. At one point Alberta had something like 105 wildfires, with almost 3/4 of them considered out of control. But then we got some rain and the temps dropped. Mostly back to normal around here now. For now. Sounds like we'll be dealing with this all summer.
  11. Wait... The pecan chicken salad is back?! Anyway... I'll take a black coupe with green wheels and a side order of yellow F1. To go. Thanks.
  12. Great colour! Kind of like Porsche's Dark Teal from around 2003-2004. But yours is slightly lighter. I like it. Simple kit, but a great kit! I just finished one a couple of months ago and have a few more in the stash to build in different colours.
  13. Great looking build! These older Ferraris are so much better looking than the new ones.
  14. The Scale Modelling Channel talks about the improved speed of this new generation of printers in his most recent video. It's looking more and more like I'll be upgrading soon.
  15. Yeah, it's definitely more grey than blue. I like it, but not as much as I like Grabber Blue. Or Race Red. I'm a big fan of what I call "crayon colours" on performance cars.
  16. Car people can tell the difference with these three, but for the average person who doesn't know cars? They see three old cars with round headlights, two doors, pointy wing things on the back (because the average Joe doesn't know about fins), a chrome thing on the hood, etc. Cars will always be reflective of the time they were built. There's a reason most cars from the 40s, 50s, 60, 70s, 80s or whenever will share very similar styling cues and colours. There are always exceptions, and are always manufacturers taking a chance with something different, but for the most part, trends are followed.
  17. Nice! Our first 2024 Mustang here at the dealership will be a Dark Horse in Vapor Blue. Order is in, but hasn't been scheduled yet.
  18. I didn't see it mentioned yet, but I mourn the loss of the in-car CD player. I still buy CDs, I still play them at home. When I bought my 99 Tahoe a few years ago, the first thing I did was upgrade the stereo, made sure it had a working CD player. Of course, the boy has sort of comandeered it, so now it's basically his truck, and he never uses the CD player. I've already bought a new head unit for my daughter's first car. And we haven't even picked one out or bought one yet!
  19. Interesting location. That patina'd Suburban on the wide white walls is awesome. I want that in my garage.
  20. NAIT is the local technical college. A lot of trades, plus a large business program too. My boy starts there in the fall. Anyway, the auto body shop held a car show today, so we checked it out. Was stunned to see an Alpine there. The El Camino was stunning.
  21. Farmers' Days this weekend here in my small town. So of course, that means a parade! Here are the automotive highlights. My company put a few cars in. That's my boss in the new Bronco.
