  1. There's a designer who I've purchased files from that has a pretty good solution for a truck frame. You print the front section, with front axle mounting points and engine mounts, then print a rear section again with suspension mounting points, and then there is the basic middle section, that you could print multiple copies of, depending on your desired chassis length. I'll take some pics as I'm doing it.
  2. Looks good! Was this originally one of the Revell Aerodyne kits? If so, great conversion!
  3. I've been waiting for the Ford Medium Duty for a long time now! I grabbed the reg cab as soon as I saw it released. WIll be getting the other two as well. Disappointed in the crewcab though. It appears Andrey made the same "mistake" that builders on the 1:1 pickups make. He used the 2017-2022 truck box, while the truck uses the 2012-2016 cab. None of the body lines match up. Would make way more sense to use the old body truck bed. But like I said, I haven't seen any one get this right in 1:1 either, so there's that. I sell a ton of these things here at work, and was just in Indy a couple of weeks ago attending Work Truck Week and a Ford conference on these trucks.
  4. Doesn't take much to keep me happy.
  5. Stopped at one of my old lunchtime haunts today. They make the best sandwiches. And when I was busy paying for my lunch, they brought out the trays of fresh pecan tarts. Had to pick up a 6 pack. Had one here, bringing the rest home.
  6. Excellent work with the snow speeder! Correct in assuming you have a clear rod or something holding it up?
  7. Looks great!
  8. I did smile at this. But then the giant nerd in me noticed that they have a stair truck parked next it, and I hate that because everyone knows the Corellian freighters have ramps that extend for both people and cargo. So stairs are unneccessary. Plus, there's no door on that side of the ship. ANd why does it have wheels? Ugh! Why am I like this? ?
  9. I've come to appreciate the 1/32 scale trucks. I'd like to see someone kit a full detail truck in that scale.
  10. I've seen her vids before. She is amusing. As a metal fan, I give her props for the Wayne Static reference.
  11. Back in the early 70s, November 10, 1973 late night/early morning, to be exact, my dad was able to record an entire Pink Floyd concert onto reel to reel, direct from the radio. Entire show was commercial free. Maybe this was just a one-off ad-free event for Toronto radio? Anyway, I know the date, because while my mum was at the hospital giving birth to me, dad was at home recording a Pink Floyd concert. ?
  12. I thought Revell's customer service was great. My Porsche Panamera kit did not come with tires. I went to the website, followed the steps, and had a set of tires in less than a month. This is one of the reasons I always open and inspect kits when I buy them. I never leave anything "factory sealed" after purchasing. That way if there's an issue, I can deal with it immediately, before the kit goes out of production, or I lose the receipt, or whatever.
  13. People can do whatever they want through private messaging. We cannot see it, we cannot do anything about it. So if people choose to sell through PM, so be it. Yet when people get burned by selling kits through PM, we still get some of those people coming to us saying that we, as administration, need to do something about it. Sorry, has nothing to do with us. To be clear, we will not be allowing sales to appear in the forum.
  14. I guess technically, it's a Mercedes SK1844LSV8. But let's just go with 1844. Some of you will have seen this one in MCM Issue 218 that is out now. Really good kit. Italeri have been getting a lot of mileage out of this one as they've been issuing versions of this for decades. Different roof heights, some with single rear axle, some with dual. But the details on the molds are still really crisp, and fit is still really good. Unless it's not. For the first time, I had a bugger of a time with an Italeri truck kit. The engine/exhaust just fought me the entire way. No matter how many times I test fit and glued, and unglued, and trimmed, and adjusted, I just could not get the engine plumbing to fit together. So I'm just going to call this a curbside build now. Despite that, I really like it. And I still really like the Italeri truck kits.
  15. Looks good! Just curious, is this the recently re-released version? Or the original from a few years back?
  16. I'm lucky in that I have the means to just pick up whatever kit I want. But there are a number of "holy grail" kits that I have never gotten around to purchasing. Either because they were more money than I want to spend on a kit, or I was just lazy and haven't done it yet.
  17. This is a very cool car. And hydrogen power makes way more sense to me than EV. Two takeaways for me though. 1. Car is not attractive. They need to hire a better design team. 2. I still can't watch an entire video of this lady.
  18. I built this one and the cement truck when I was a kid. Will have to grab this and do a good job this time!
  19. I just bought the files for 3d printing a Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Curbside only, but will still look cool on the shelf.
  20. I'm really looking forward to this one. And I really like that they didn't go with the usual "retro" styled box art.
  21. Hmmm...I have an Italeri Ferrari F40 that I started in the mid-90s. I haven't touched it since. Second longest is an AMT Ford truck. The awful Super Stones kit. It's like 90% done, but I've just had zero motivation to wrap that turd up. I should really get both cleared up.
