  1. Might be just some of the curbsides. I have a bunch of the curbside 964 generation kits, and they all have both dashboards. Been a while since I've built one of the older gen versions.
  2. Fujimi kits usually come with both right and left hand drive options. I probably have some right hand drive dashes in the stash somewhere.
  3. Here's the Monkees Mustang. The entire kit was marbleized, not just the body.
  4. She was a WWII mechanic and loved her Land Rovers. https://www.roverparts.com/roverlog-news-blog/queen-elizabeth-iis-life-land-rovers/
  5. Dang. Definitely need to grab one of these.
  6. On a related note... The new Nickelback album cover. Inspired perhaps by, The Van?
  7. I don't know if you would classify them as horror, but I'm a fan of zombie lit. Kim Paffenroth - Dying To Live ( and the sequels: Dying To Live & Last Rites) J L Bourne - Day By Day Armageddon (and the sequals: Beyond Exile, Shattered Hourglass) V M Zito - The Return Man. This one is one of my favourites. Mira Grant has her Parasite trilogy, which are excellent. As is her Newsflesh trilogy. I like the classics, like Stephen King. Christine is probably my favourite book. Also search out Permuted Press. That's a publishing house specializing in horror and apocalyptic fiction. Most available on Amazon too.
  8. As a fan of cars, models, and bbq, I totally approve!
  9. Not so good if you're in Canada. Some Tamiya kits are showing for about $18 CDN. That's great! But one $18 Tamiya Porsche kit has a single shipping option for $49. So almost $70 for a kit I can buy here for $40. It's the same for HLJ, who I've used a lot in the past. Until shipping gets back to a more reasonable amount, I can't justify ordering from there.
  10. My parts took about two weeks to get here to Canada.
  11. I will be picking one up for sure. And the aftermarket is going to love this kit. Lowering, wheel upgrades. Cannot wait to see what people do with this one. And I am fully expecting to see some creative types slapping big engines into this for funsies.
  12. 6"6"! And yes, working under the dash is going to be most uncomfortable! The last time I had to do major interior work on something, I just pulled the front seats to give me some room.
  13. A thread about the rise of the electric muscle car is now semi-political and discussing theories about food shortages and eating bugs. Seriously. Keep it to the original topic please. Move the bug recipes to OT.
  14. I'll probably make up some new swear words too!
  15. The shop gave me an itemized quote, breaking down pricing for everything. And included all part numbers. I did the math. Parts alone were about $1700 CDN. So I took a leap and ordered all the parts from RockAuto. Including shipping, came to $580 CDN. I know what I'm doing next weekend!
  16. https://reynoldsmuseum.ca/ Local museum, devoted to basically the history of machines here in the Edmonton area. Cars, trucks, tractors, farm implements, bike, airplanes, helicopters. Little bit of everything here, and a great way to kill a day. Here's some of it from today.
  17. Curious about the new A70 Supra kit.
  18. Most definitely an improvement over the kit lights!
  19. As an aside, I thought the new Batman movie was great. Not as good as the Christian Bale Batman movies though. I hated the Michael Keaton/Val Kilmer/George Clooney Batmen flicks. They just got campier and cheesier over time. This Batmobile is a prime example of the cartoon-ish nature of these films. So I'm glad to see this build, and what toning it down a little will do.
  20. I've never heard of it, but in reading about it, you are so right. Exactly what I'm talking about. ?
  21. I'm surprised and disappointed at how bitter people get over seeing something happen that will make life a little easier for some people. And if I say more, I'll have to 30-day ban myself.
  22. Well, looks like I need to learn how to repair the HVAC in my 99 Tahoe. The front vents get heat, but rear vents will only blow cold. Not great in winter. Rear heater core is toast. Front vent selector does not work. Windshield vents only, no dash or floor. AC does not hold a charge, yet the system has been tested and there are no leaks. Rear AC lines had been removed. Rear condenser is toast. Got a quote today to repair everything and get the entire heat &AC system back to brand new factory condition. $4300 CDN. Call it $3300 US. Time to figure out how much of this I can do myself. Good excuse to buy some more tools. Hmm...maybe this is more of a positive than an irk!
  23. I think parts packs would be a great idea. Especially for the truck kits. AMT have the hot rod style parts covered, and it's either Aoshima or Fujimi that have import wheel/tire packs covered, but alas...no truck stuff. But until that happens, this is where being able to print my own has come in handy. Duallie wheels and tires? No problem.
