No. The roadster lost them with the 1964 issue to make room for new parts. The coupe lost them with the Street Rods issue for the same reason. However, the most recent issues of the coupe do have the front cycle fender mounting brackets.

I think you would glue the sub assemblies (engines, for example) together and then mix and match as you saw fit to see how you wanted it. Other than the odd proportions and the molded in chassis AMT really had it going on with those kits. They are still my faves to play with.

Pretty impressive 24 build, Tom. I built a Woody Wagon clone from one of those a couple of years ago and took me 3 weeks. And that was mostly out of the box. BTW the engine in the Woody wagon has never changed in length. The only change to the rear axle is the ends where the wheels mount. Anyway, cool build.

I remember those old dog tracking Novas well. And yes that is a Pontiac engine, left over from when that tool produced a Ventura.

Amt '66 Riviera: your input, please
Dave Darby replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I agree. Steve hit that one right out of the park. -
The 40 Ford coupe kit has a very nice set of Keystone Kustomags, which are nearly identical to the Klassics. The ones in the 57 Chevy are decent. I also have a deep dish pair at home that I think are MPC. Not sure. Will take a pic and post after work.

That's what I was going to say.

I love this thing. If you have Facebook it would be more than welcome on the Scale Survivors page. -
I can find a lot to like about that build. Very cool.

I don't have an orange hood, but on the subject of hoods, the 73-76 Dodge Darts used the 69 Barracuda hood, along with 67-69 Dart front fenders. And just like on the real cars, the MPC Dart and Barracuda hoods interchange pretty nicely.

1927 and 1970 Ford police cars coming back?
Dave Darby replied to ChrisBcritter's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Just vintage box art. When they reissued the 67 Charger it had the other cars from the series shown too. (Like the Streaker Vette). But they haven't been reissued - yet. -
1/25 Revell '63 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe SnapTite
Dave Darby replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I wasn't questioning it. I said I like it. Sometimes more than the more common 67 hood. I wish the 65-66 hood was easier to find in 1/25th scale. -

I like the 66 big block hood on there. One sharp Vette. -
Love all of those Revell 1/25 Snap kits. I wish they'd pop some more of the 57 Chevys and 63 Vettes back out.

1953 Ford F100
Dave Darby replied to SnozzaP's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
No worries. It looks great. You did a super nice job on it. Beautiful paint work. Here's the box art I did the build for. I wish they would have had Molotow markers back in 1994. -

Super duper nice. Looks pretty close to the color I painted the box art build for the 1994 issue. Like Espo said, the grilles (on all the 53 Ford trucks) were painted white. That aside, yours is one of the nicer builds of this one I've seen. -
Nice build and love the outdoor photography.

Awesome! I almost bought a copy last night too. Now I'll have to go grab one. Thanks for the heads up!

I built the Pyro Renault Town Car back when I was around 11 or so. From my memories it was a pretty nice kit. I wonder if Round 2 has the tools for these. I believe Lindberg ended up with the Pyro tools IIRC.
