  1. Interior shot of instument panel decal and automatic shifter on dash. Couple of spot lamps installed. Era correct 1 ton wheels painted.
  2. Everything looks spot on Tom! Great choice doing a '78 Chevy 8' Fleetside, waiting a long time for this type of offering from casters.
  3. Great to see you tackle a medium duty Casey. Looks like you have most of the necessary parts to build a very realistic COE. The cabovers did have a slightly wider front end, but I would just leave it as is also. You might want to enlarge the fender openings though. Scene Unlimited wheels will look great on this one.
  4. Thanks for the tip Charles! Those gauges look amazing, great job! I already added some decals, but may change it out, seeing how much detail is already built in these 1/32 scale kits.
  5. Going pretty fast, cab running boards align with steps on pumper and cab interior details added. The rear half of the pumper frame and under carriage drops in the the F 350 frame, so I will keep it for structural integrity.
  6. Using the frame from the AMT super stones, actually a 1 ton F 350. Using the '56 F 100 272 V8, but the kits 3 speed overdrive won't cut it for fire service, replaced it with a heavy duty Allison automatic from an old c 600 kit. Using a 1 ton I beam front axle and front springs from Rookie Resin and dual wheels from Scenes Unlimited.
  7. Will kit bash the Revell '56 Ford pickup with the 1/32 scale Monogram Mack pumper to create a mini pumper. Good news, both molded in a reddish orange, so will only need trim paint and when mated together, look like there the same scale. First step is using the saw.
  8. Chevy called them " Big Doolies". Is that actually an 8' fleetside box behind the sleeper and fuel tank?
  9. Good to see you do another medium-heavy duty Brian. This under represented weight class are always interesting subjects, common as straight trucks with special bodies or local city tractors. The heavy duty 361 L 700 engine is perfect for a D 800. Nice to see a factory fresh every once in a while.
  10. Found some reference photos for you Tom!
  11. I realize the IMC tanker kit came out in around 1970, but can anybody put a year or era for this trailer. I have seen photos of tanker trailers from 1955 that look just like this trailer. A great trailer to go behind 50's thru 60's tractors, design looks a bit dated for 70's tractors.
  12. Wonder if it was special ordered before Ford offered the Cummins V6 as a regular production option ( 1963 article ) .
  13. Nice work on the vintage Jimmy and trailer combo, the paint work is really paying off. It appears your getting close to the interior, hope this helps. Note colors and steering wheel angle.
  14. Great job on this Western Star logger. The paint scheme is impressive and the Budds on the drive axles gives it a real Northwest logging country feel.
  15. Excellent job on this vintage oil burning Ford! Looks like it has on construction sites for years without a wax or polish. You have captured the look of a hard working no frills dump truck. You have inspired me to start building mine soon.
  16. Great job! Nice to see another classic done. Excellent choice in using the WF frame, looks very period and has the simple 4 spring highway suspension.
  17. Agreed. I was expecting a good AMT version back in mid 70's after the Ford pickup came out. IMO, this is another reason why this company fell into hard times, they passed up on the most popular GM pickup to date and did this thing. Maybe Moebius will give it a shot someday. IMO, the best we have now is the MPC stepside and the good aftermarket resin fleetside beds.
  18. Great photo Jeff! Can be pin pointed to a '63. Last year of the low roof and first year for crest shape hood emblem. It would have been easier for Dan Models to use the low roof on his F 850, same as the '61-'63 F100-F 700 cab he also offers. Great job stuffing that Detroit in that small engine compartment Brian! Some more D.D. stuff.
  19. Great theme and combo set up. A time capsule to the late 70's as a batch of factory fresh scouts heads towards an IH dealership.
  20. Looking good! Cab sitting at correct height and at a 90 degree angle to the frame, nice!
  21. Excellent re creation of the real thing! This is what AMT- MPC should have given us back in the day! Has all the period goodies in all the right places!
  22. Correct base model hubcap for '67 and '68. Same hubcap, just different paint color applications. ( '67 white with red trim ) ( '68 silver with black and red trim ). Never covered by big plastic. Another future to do item for Rookie Resins.
  23. Looks great! Good to see one of the most popular dump trucks of the 60's finally coming to life in 1/25 scale. Extra thanks for being the first to take on this Dan Models project!
  24. Great detail work on this wrecker. I fully understand how tuff it is to create a realistic period era 1 ton wrecker. FYI, the white and blue paint scheme tow trucks were once part of the automobile club of southern california fleet. Many were used by studios.
