  1. Excellent work on this one Bill ! Great period correct details and period correct paint work. Only you could pull this off. IMO, a version of the Ford pickup that would never have been offered by Moebius. Your creation of period correct items, that have been ignored by others, never ceases to amaze me! I'll be first in line when Rookie Resins come back. Another unique piece you might be interested in is the '63-'64 only custom cab ( without molding option ) door handle plates, which would look perfect on your '64 build.
  2. If your good with a knife, there is the possibility of doing a '56
  3. Moebius had their chance, now they can watch the sales figures fly by.
  4. We understand. Thanks again for offering all your excellent ( never done before ) products to this modeling community, we appreciate all your efforts.
  5. Excellent build! Looks like it just completed a long cross country haul. Really like the small foot steps and cab guard equipment.
  6. I agree, the "real truck" version, the 1 tons with the 9' beds with beefier springs, longer thicker frame and correct heavy duty 17" lock ring wheels with truck tires would make the present 1/2 ton shorbeds look pale in comparison.
  7. Absolutely beautiful built pickups Repstock. The attention to detail and correctness is second to none! Hard to believe there are models, look like real factory photos.
  8. Sooner or later there's going to have to be new tooling, you can only ride the coat tails of previous AMT kits for soo long. I recommend they do one modern truck and one classic old truck to test the waters, compare sales figures, then decide what road they want to go down for future business investments. No recommendations for a modern truck but for an old classic, start off with one of the most famous and recognizable big rigs on the road at one time, the Mack B 61.
  9. I'm not privy to sales figures for the Lone Star Pro Star, but there is probably a reason Moebius didn't bring out more modern subjects after that. Maybe poor sales? Now look at the Ford pickup series, '65-72, again, not privy to sales, but these were classic truck subjects that were ignored in the past and I'm assuming were a great success ( maybe we got a few extra issues that we really didn't need ). IMO, we could use the same logic for classic big rigs that have been ignored. Most car and truck shows attract people who are interested in vehicles from the 50's thru 70's, I think it would be safe to assume this is true for the model building community also.
  10. Started a new title to this '56 Ford T 800 Big Job now that I obtained a used original issue Challenge Cook Bros. mixer body from a fellow modeler. Modified to a vertical water tank and deleted rear rectangular tail lights. Cab is an AITM piece with an Autocar frame, wheels are aftermarket resin, cab color is period mid 50's Ford Meadow Green
  11. Cab in primer, getting the hood to fit is always tough on these.
  12. Nice build. Like the clean service truck look. I'm working on a separate bed version ('60 bed) used on some '62-'63's and 4x4's.
  13. Another great 3/4 ton workhorse build!

  16. Yep, there were tons of trucks to choose from, IMC chooses the least popular "big rig" on the road in '69 for their "first"?
  17. Thanks for reminding me on the reasons I stopped building models in the 80's, the scene was getting corny!
  18. It must have been a miracle that AMT, on their own, gave us brand new tooled kits year after year, in some cases, month after month, in the 70's.
  19. This 6 hand hole lock ring wheel used in the 40's, 50's and early 60's in 1/25 scale.
  20. Great reference photos Casey! An ebay seller is offer these type of wide base front wheels which would look great on the KW kit if your a Budd person.1/24 Resin Solid Disk Front Wheels With Drive Hubs | eBay
  21. How did I miss this one? Great to see another 50's 2 axle gas tractor for those local jobs. Like the color, fuel tanks and wheel choice.
  22. Great representation of a KW cabover with those cool owner operator custom paint jobs!
  23. Is the Atlantis Chevy stake really a LCF, low cab forwardk, inside the box? I thought the original was a conventional cab.
