  1. Great detail work on an already great cab! Thanks for creating this cab for us to purchase from AITM. Got me thinking of a dual drive mixer for a future build. The 331 Gold comet should provide enough power to do the job.
  2. Hard to believe a pickup camper was never done by big plastic in 1/25, only pickup shells.
  3. As adults, we are expected to lower the cab on this one too.
  4. Too bad AMT never gave us a flatbed with the outside frame. They look soo much cooler! IMO, Moebius might want to take it up, there are plenty of 70's reissue tractors that we can hitch it up to.
  5. Bringing it back to the top again, the 60's version of the WF cabover in 1/25. A 3D printer should be able to copy this very nice version already done years ago in railroad scale. Now that the 70's AMT re issues are plentiful as donors, these will SELL!
  6. The mixer would look great on the R Mack, same era as the mixer. I believe many of us are buying this kit for a conversion to another chassis.
  7. Great build. Vintage color photos are great references to guide a project along. Like the old school Budds and custom paint job!
  8. Great job Bill. Everything looks great, the factory color, Custom Cab interior, styleside bed, engine, barden rear bumper, 8 lug wheels, mirrors, chromed grill and white painted front bumper. Extra thanks for doing a subject that has been completely ignored for soo long. I'll never build a '61-'63 integral unibody again.
  9. Nice combo! It's amazing what a nice paint job and nice details can do.
  10. Very nice work on this classic. Some Gold Comet dimensions for you. The Mack diesel might be a good donor block candidate
  11. Problem solved! Very nice roof repair work!
  12. For accurate colors, try 70s Ford Trucks (scalefinishes.com) click on down arrows for full selection
  13. Added a western theme to the White Western Star, namely a longer frame and resin 22" Budd steel wheels.
  14. Learn something new everyday, never realized the raised roof was smooth. Here are some more reference photos I found.
  15. I'm sure Dan models will make this right and send you a replacement. Many on this site will be potential buyers of his products and will be good P.R. for them. Another possibility with this one maybe set it aside and graft on a Moebius pickup donor cab? That will give you the basis for a '64 or '65 Super Duty, before the cab roof lift. Maybe just built it as a gas powered Super Duty tractor for a future build?
  16. Looking good Brian! Here is a photo of the super road lug tires
  17. I believe Modelhaus did offer the '57 and '58 at one time, maybe someone can temporarily donate them to RC2 for 3d scans. The '59 was never made to my knowledge, hopefully the aftermarket would come to the rescue with a completely new '59 conversion. If the '60 becomes reality, I can see the 57's, 58's and 59's to follow soon!
  18. Nice cabovers everybody! Great paint schemes and colors!
  19. I'm doing the same sanding off on two kits. Why does Moebius think we want built in moldings? They should be separate parts on the chrome tree!
  20. AMT 1960 Ford F 100 pickup. First, would like to see and separate cab and separate bed. Second, a separate frame with suspension parts. Thirdly, a correct stock 292, and lastly, a small back window option. By looking at how much glue bombs sell consistently for on ebay ( around 100 bucks ) I say there is a strong market. Great thread idea, hope Round 2 sees it.
  21. Here it is. I'm thinking they accidently shipped you an old prototype instead of the final product.
  22. Sorry to hear about the quality issues Brian. I purchased 2 F 850 a couple of years ago when they first came out, and they were excellent, exactly like to the original stock photos. Something must have happen to the mold?
  23. Your '64 4x4 conversion adds a completely new dimension to this series of pickup. You have inspired many of us to tackle this very worthwhile project. Love the 292 and styleside bed!
  24. Rookie Resin covered the correct 1/2 ton hubcaps that are shown on the '70 box art. It only took 50 years for the help to arrive. Thanks again to Bill for doing these ignored pieces. The hubcaps in the AMT Chevy van are out of proportion for both a 1/2 ton or 1 ton. Photo of gold Chevy is a 1/2 ton pickup or van, photo of blue Chevy is 3/4 and 1 ton pickup or 1 ton van. Hopefully when Bill starts up again, he can cover a Chevy 3/4 or 1 ton hubcap for us. '67 and '68, the bowtie was painted red, '69 thru '72 , the bowtie was painted blue, '73 and up, bowtie was gold.
