  1. Have you made other American Graffiti car replicas?

Ah yes, the famous "kid with the wild rosemaling technique." The colors look great, whether they are as original tints or not. I'm glad this Ford survived. You once mentioned that the somewhat similarly decorated Caprice was later reworked. Thanks for posting these pics.
  3. The JoHan 1977 through 1979 Cadillacs came with exactly those wire wheel covers. They didn't have Vogue Tyres. The green car shown above has less than pristine condition wheel covers.
  4. That will be a visual treat when completed in factory stock form. PLEASE keep going in that direction and best of luck with your build.
  5. I would suggest keeping much more of the Corvair roof. Move the cut line back to about where you are relocating the trailing edge of the front door. If you cut as close to the windshield as marked, the A-pillars are going to be very weak.
  6. DO NOT try to use MCG. You need product, not excuses.
  7. Here's an old post on this topic. Looks like many of the pics have disappeared but some remain. And at least one six door sedan was made and had an appearance in a 1983 movie: https://www.imcdb.org/v840608.html
  8. Will the kit include decals for the world famous campaign in Beverley Hills, "Margaret Drysdale for Possum Queen?" It would be so over the top if a figure of a possum juggling Miss Jane Hathaway is included.
  9. Here is a link to one of the 1/24 scale diecast Facel Vega. I have purchased from this seller and can recommend. The car looks good to me but I haven't studied the real car like you have. https://www.ebay.com/itm/353787540853?hash=item525f617575:g:qCEAAOSwadtho0i1
  10. What a perfect blending of roof and body. I can't decide if it should be a Calais Custom or an Eldorado Custom Coupe. The smooth sides and Fleetwood level rocker panel chrome trim are excellent.
  11. Take some Pepto Bismol for that gut ailment. And don't hold your breath. No Bluesmobile.
  12. Many slick top cars had aftermarket vinyl tops installed in the 1970s and 1980s, especially young used cars. Most of those received stick on chrome trim around the edges. So seeing a Monte Carlo with the chrome trim would not have been uncommon. Your model looks too good as it sits to attempt removal of the trim. In my opinion.
  13. If not printed, what was your source for the model? Thank you.
  14. Have fun with the front and rear windows. After struggling to install them from inside like the vast majority of older kits, I looked at the instruction sheet to learn that they were designed for flush fit from the outside. Oopsie. Painting a narrow black strip around the perimeter of the glass is required to hide the glue to surface. You're doing a great job so far. I look forward to seeing pics of the completed car.
  15. In case you need inspiration, here is a pretend Corvette Batmobile: https://95octane.com/2017/08/30/1967-batmobile-corvette/
  16. You did it! Your replica is off the chain.
  17. I was always disappointed with the Polar Lights effort. It looks completely awkward sitting alone, but next to the original kit, it is a joke. But at least it is a source for good wheel covers for the original. Good luck with your restoration. I look forward to seeing the finished car.
  18. I really like the orange car. Excellent choice of wheels and center caps. Thanks for sharing pics.
  19. "Looks a lot like mine, but who can tell?" Pretty sure anyone who looks at the two can instantly see the difference.
  20. As Lilly Munster would say, "it looks so natural." You made the hardtop look like a four door convertible that could convince anyone that GM built it. Perfect color choice as well. How about a 1957 El Morocco four door convertible for your next magic trick?
  21. Wood panels and framework look great. You may be planning on it already, but I would recommend chrome door handles. I look forward to seeing it finished.
  22. That was on a magazine cover a few years ago. Oh, maybe more than a few. Way more. December 1951 Motor Trend to be exact. Here's a shot of the cover, courtesy of an ebay seller. Beautiful car for sure.
