  1. They do that for sure. I get calls and when I check the Caller ID, it says I am calling myself from the same number. I have also been getting a lot of calls from "The Sheriff's Office" looking for donations. I know the Sheriff and they are not calling folks looking for donations. I need to keep a land line here as I have spotty cell reception where I live.
  2. Yes! Looking forward to the new tool Coronet. Glad you found, and finally got, a good one.
  3. The delete function has in fact been disabled and is now only a mod/admin function. You can now only hide your posts and threads. If you have something you want deleted, you need to use the report function and state why you want it reviewed and deleted. I try to catch the multiple posts or threads and delete the extras when I see them, but I don't catch them all.
  4. Like Bill has already mentioned, just passing it through water is going to be difficult. Activated carbon would be your best bet at getting something that works. Activated carbon is also used in aquarium filtration, so you have some options on where to purchase it. If you don't get it right, yours neighbors will let you know. Some of the paints and clears have very strong odors.
  5. I believe there was a GMC ice cream truck in Killer Clowns From Outer Space. Would probably be difficult to do the lighted clown topper though.
  6. I think any documented test mule would have value. Even more so if there are one off or hand formed pieces (that can be verified) still attached to the vehicle. They are all very rare pieces of automotive history. I don't think many of the survivors made it to a dealership, I think they ended up with some executive or engineer and were later resold.
  7. Ray, I saw a Cobra pedal car at Cracker Barrel last week.
  8. If you are uploading your photos directly to the site, then yes you are limited to quantity and size of the files. When you see posts with lots of photos, it is because they are using a photo hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr. The site limits direct uploads because those files take up space and resources allocated on the server for this forum.
  9. It loses a bit of it's luster, now that I know it wasn't actually a Ferrari that had to hop the curb and drive down the sidewalk. I remember thinking how intense it was when I first saw it.
  10. While not technically a chase scene, there was a video out (I saw it in the early 90's) called "The Rendezvous". This guy strapped a camera to his Ferrari and went blasting through Paris early in the morning. Pretty awesome video, missed shifts and all.
  11. For me it is easy. Since I am only doing mainly box stock models, the first box that I pick up and go "that looks like fun" is the winner. Turns out the fun is short lived on many of them though. Luckily, I have learned to step away from things when they start giving me trouble (fiddly pieces, not happy how paint turned out and such) and come back to them when I am more confident (or determined) in my skills to complete them. That is why I have a lot of started models and only a few completed ones. At some point I will want to do something unique and I am sure I will then add a new, previously unexplored, level to my OCD.
  12. The remake of "The Thing" comes to mind when "snowed in" Edit: Looks like Mike beat me to it.
  13. There are teams out there that could/should take a chance. He would surely be better than some of the current #2 drivers (and maybe a few #1 drivers as well).
  14. I would do the '70 Cuda because I would never cut on a 1:1 to make it pro-touring. No limits with a model car though.
  15. Please keep things civil and on track. This started as a post to let us know that, unfortunately, another caster is shutting down shop.
  16. Should the ramps be stored at the rear of the trailer? Seems like it would be a lot of trouble to get to them, when they are stored up front, if a car were on the trailer. Can't wait to see it all painted.
  17. A lot of thought went into that car before it was built. It all seems to belong (except the Simpson harness). So, what you are saying is, you don't have to put a V8 into everything....interesting. I like the custom alloy wheels with wood spoke covers, nice touch.
  18. Never fails, you can run day races, hit lots of stuff and never bust a light. You run at night and the first thing you lightly hit takes out a light or two. I don't think I want a house along a rally route.
  19. Friend of mine had one like this (Black and Gold). Was a nice car, but got zero traction. If one drop of rain hit the road, the tires would spin.
  20. '70 Gran Coupe Cuda', '70 Challenger Convertible (factory air), '70 Challenger RT/SE (big block, 4-speed), '66 Chevelle (396, 4-speed) and the '65 Corvette that I didn't have the $4000 to buy.
  21. Nash Bridges Cuda is my all time favorite TV car I liked the boats from Miami Vice more than the cars. Hated seeing all of the General Lee Chargers getting crashed every week.
  22. He was online after we had discussed this. He made a comment or two on posts.
  23. The Moderation Actions at the top of the page will delete the entire thread. Look for an Options button at the bottom of the individual post, that should give you a delete option that is just for that particular post.
  24. Factory stock, to the best of my ability. The colors are factory as well - Autumn Bronze with a Shoreline Beige roof.
  25. I got mine on Amazon.com.
