  1. We are in the Off Topic Lounge section of the forum. There are a LOT of non-model building topics here. Some would say that is exactly why this area is here. Just like in all the other areas of this forum, we should be respectful of the other members.
  2. Glad you found your way back Tim. Welcome to the forum.
  3. Welcome Richard.
  4. Welcome Scott. Looking forward to seeing your work.
  5. I think that will be true early on, but will diminish as time goes by. The home team will need to depend on this scenario to continue if they want to remain in Vegas. The stands will also be filled with visiting team fans. That is not an ideal situation for long term success. All this is made easier if the Raiders continue to win. If they go back to losing, the city's love affair with the new team will quickly pass. Teams changing cities always provide immediate financial gains to the new city.
  6. I don't think Las Vegas is going to be a good NFL city. The Raiders will eventually be moving back to Oakland and into a new stadium. My guess is that this will last 10-15 years at best. This is all about money, of course.
  7. There are several motorcycle builds down in the "All The Rest" section of the board. Browse through those and you can see the amount of detail the different scales offer. You might be able to decide on a scale that way.
  8. No we don't just smile and give information, but we shouldn't have to be demeaning just because of what he is trying to do or the fact that he is a teenager. We should have taken the high road and just said this isn't the place for what you are trying to do. Read back through this thread and see what it has deteriorated into. We have ended up against each other, for what we had to say and how we said it.
  9. I agree with Rob. The sports card boxes are great.
  10. I don't think eviscerating an actual member of the forum is allowed. I went back and reread the whole thread up to this point..... I am glad this forum (including myself here) doesn't go after all new members this way. Whether we think it is warranted or not.
  11. Just a reminder, please watch the language. The site has a filter for a reason. Please do not try to get around the filter.
  12. Not saying you would steal content, but there are those out there that would and do.
  13. As a kid, I bought models from the old man down the street. He happened to be the toy buyer for a large store. Once he learned I liked to build models, he would bring a few home every month or so and sell them to me $5 each. They generally sold for $7 or $8 in the stores at the time.
  14. I would be able to provide a few....for a fee I have enough to last a VERY long time.
  15. Sounds like, what Bill caught early, is that it would be a website just to sell adds based on traffic. Would simply position it so that it showed up at the top of any "google" search. You click the site to check it out, because it came back in the top 3 suggested sites from your search. Your clicking and checking out the content on the site generates money for the site owner because there are paid ads all over the site. They will create or steal content (articles, photos, etc...) to make it so any number of random words or search directs you to their site. Technically, it is a legitimate business model in today's internet/tech driven society. Not the most ethical way to make a dollar, but generally it only costs us our time. ModelKitBuilder - I don't think this anything that the majority of the folks on this site are willing to help you with.
  16. Nice and clean, just the way they should be. Well done Curt.
  17. Congratulations Vince!
  18. Welcome Randy.
  19. You can check the Subscription page and see that Gregg has changes coming to the magazine. Looks like January 15th is the announcement date. So hopefully in a few days, some of the questions will be answered.
  20. You can always tell you are going to pay a lot for restoration/repair work when it is a large, very clean warehouse/shop with lots of space around the cars being worked on. I could spend a whole day just walking around a shop like that.
  21. I have trouble getting into all kinds of packages and cases, so I feel your pain.
  22. I would have stopped looking for inspiration after I found that one as well. Looking forward to seeing this as it progresses.
  23. We can leave it up, so others that might have the same problem, can see what fixed your situation.
  24. Computers and the internet and can do funny things. First step is usually to close down your browser and restart it. You can also go so far as to restart your computer. A lot of things can go wrong between our computers and the server this site is hosted on.
  25. Can you imagine seeing this on the road today!! I will be following this thread as well JC.
