  1. Oh no! Not good! sounds like my kind of luck ? I might be wrong but isn't the other Mustang a 24th scale? That's a great Movie though... The Chevelle that he takes would be a good one to build... Haven't seen part two though...
  2. Then John Wick's Mustang it shall be... Just curious though what "vital" peice got screwed up? I've got a small hoard of those Revell Chargers...if I can help...
  3. A friend of mine is a huge mustang fan, he has been working hard to build his 65 into a muscle car. I'd say he's had success ? it's a big block with twin turbos. Add another on the list to build in scale now...
  4. Oooohh! that gives me an idea... Dark grey for these year mustangs is right on... Very detailed build, it's looking great...
  5. She's got a black interior agian. I'm really trying to put some "Muscle" in this build... Not easy to do with a pink mustang convertable...???
  6. Back for another progress report... For years I searched for a store bought product that would remove unwanted paint from models... Super clean is the best (in my opinion) I just wish it was discovered (or invented) 30 years ago. It would've been a game changer. I got rid of alot because of bad paint jobs. This interior spent 10 hrs in the tank and it's ready for a new life...
  7. A few steps further on the "Blingstang" today... Blacked out the engine bay and added silver trim around the window frame. These wheels seem to be a nice fit for this build... I like the look. More later...
  8. Nice save! I've got the Amt prostreet 1989 or 90 issue it was a glue bomb and the top was ruined also... My cousin built it back in the day... then it went in his attic for 25 years or so... I got it now and have been slowly redoing it...
  9. Wow! What a Beautiful Hot wheels representation! That is just fantastic! I know this one will be just as fabulous! Keep up the great work!
  10. Cool project... I have a Hot wheels of this model... Well almost the 1/64th is a 71. There are alot of different paint schemes you may get some ideas from... https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2386202.m4084.l2632.R2.TR7.TRC1.A0.H0.XHot+wheels+elca.TRS0&_nkw=hot+wheels+el+camino&_sacat=222
  11. I'm thinking the same thing... I can't wait!
  12. Thanks! the plan was to get it back in shape as the original build (Red and white) but then the Breast Cancer challange came up and I needed a project for that, I decided it was the right car for the challenge but that was 5 years ago...? I'm looking forward to seeing that Elcamino get finished!
  13. When I was younger I would write messages on the inside of my models. Like the date or whatever I was feeling at the time... I wrote the letters "Hi WHOEVE R" and "DONT DESTR 1/12/ 97". I guess when I got rid of it the first time I didn't plan on it ever finding its way back to me... ? This Mustang's History... I got the kit from Wal-Mart around 95 ish... Painted it red with white stripes on the hood and trunk (black inside and top). Displayed the car in my bedroom... got bored with it in 96 and desided to paint it yellow. Half way through the build my buddy comes over, sees it, flips out over it, so I gave it to him after it was finished. Fast forward...2003 I'm at a yardsale in my area and I see the familiar Mustang pace car box art and I think "I've built that kit before" unbeknownst to me that I actually built this exact one, til I popped the lid off and seen it! My old friend had left the state, moved away...and his mom was left with the model to sell at her yard sale...So for a mere 2 bucks it was once agian mine. ?
  14. Thanks. To start with I'm missing the front windsheild and the front suspension. I've got a box of Shelby leftovers somewhere. I think the glass is in there and a complete chassis too... I have the stuff but stopping to find it is more distacting than the wife telling me to " Come here for a minute" while I'm applying the final coat of clear! ? I'll look for the stuff and let you know if I can find it...
  15. This must be the season for the Mustang to drag across the BOYD finish line lol! I see I'm not alone... I rebuilt the engine and I'm working on the interior while looking for a box of slot car leftovers to complete this ole girl... It was originally built by me in 97 (yellow with tan flocking interior)... Several missing parts will have to be found and that may be a challenge on its own...? never fails I always come up short due to the non organized state of my junk or my brain one or the other...???
  16. And a very nice take on it too! ? Typical and realistic of a 4 door that you may see at a Super Chevy show... I definitely like what I'm seeing...
  17. Thanks... The goal is to start getting all the parts painted. I think I can make some actual progress then lol... I feel like Art is imitating Life and the scene in the movie where Lane, John Cusack's character finally gets the Camaro running... Only for me, painting is the accomplishment. Then it's off to the K12!
  18. Blacked out the Better Off Dead Camaro this morning while the temperature was still somewhat low (about 68 degrees) in the garage... I'd almost forgotten how pretty a 1st gen camaro is in black. Be back soon...
  19. Wow! I'm just in Awe with the Mystrey Men Cadillac! Best looking example of this kit by far! I want one now! Turned my back on one of the pre-painted jobs awhile back for 10 bucks now I'm kicking myself lol... I've desided that it's gonna be easier to seperate the Finished builds from the "In progress" or in my case (Stalled builds) ? with 40 builds in the running I think it will be better to see finished builds at the "Starting line" for me, seeing these will hopefully motivate the pack. Here are the current, and Very Impressive Starting Line-up Builds... ?10. Oldmopars -Marvel's Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. 379 Peterbilt. ?19. spencer1984 - Hot Rods To Hell 58 Corvette ?25. 89AKurt - The Thomas Crown Affair 68 Ferrari ?13. Belugawrx- Shelby Cobra Gumball Rally (1976) ? 3. fivesuns -Dirty Mary Crazy Larry Dodge Charger ?33. avidinha- Mystery Men Cadillic I hope I haven't missed anyone... Please correct me if I'm wrong. I've sincerely enjoyed overseeing this year's CBR guys, dispite all the hurdles in my personal life... I never thought a new house would have me working and taking most of my spare time away... I'll be releived when the job is finished so I can get back to modeling "Full-time"...
  20. I'm in... I really wanna finish some of this stuff up for sure. I have a 65 mustang convertable I have to finish for a Breast Cancer awareness challenge it's only been stalled for 5 years...? it seems like the easiest fix to start with. So I'll start with this Mustang and hopefully be adding some other stalled kits as we go.
  21. Yes, I sure did... 50's engineering and design is really cool to see, it reminds me of better days. Last year I traded a Mig welder to my cousin for his model collection that had been in his attic since around 95. I was hoping that kit would be in there (it wasn't) but there were alot of treasures I'm happy to have. Some of which are some of my stallled projects that I gave to him in the early days.
  22. I'm glad you noted that because I had the same question and I wanted it on the front end of the tub but the wife kept saying from a design perspective, it should be on the side. (Thanks Pintrest).? After I had it mounted, I was standing back looking at it and It suddenly dawned on me that I should've mounted it on the opposite side to get it out of the way... But I didn't say a word to her about that ?... She loves it and it's where she wanted it. I've seen her get in and out of it and it doesn't phase her.. She's happy so what more can I ask for? ? Thanks... I guess it's not too bad for a beginner. ? But I don't think I want to see if I can do better next time... ??? I got models to build! I dont have time for this nonsense! ? I'm not quite finished with it yet so I better be careful what I say... I just wanna be done! Shower doors & Vantity install is next. Mounting double mirrors and what ever else she wants me to do! Ugh! ???
  23. I too got this kit in or around 1988 and I'm also 47... Like you I didn't pick it but I did think it was cool. I wasn't that interested in the subject. (other than seeing the retractable top work)...so my cousin suggested he could get the car together (I must've really wanted to see the top work) lol so I let him take it home with him to build it and I never seen it again lol... Fast forward about five years later at a car show I seen a real one working and I always wanted to get another one. It is a cool model and you really did it proud... It's making me really want one now ?
  24. Leviathan Impala Sam and Dean had Dopplegangers that drove a 67 Impala in one season... the fake Winchesters were trying to break laws and cause trouble for Sam and Dean so they would get arrested and go to prision. Their Impala was the same except for the wheels and license plates. The kit has supplyed both sets of plates so you can build the Leviathan Impala, all you need is a set of 18 inch Polished torque thrusts... Which Dean tells Sam that he's gonna steal when they see the car pulling into town...
  25. Beautiful 66 Wagon. I don't know why but it reminds me of the Monogram 37 Ford (orange on the box) perhaps the wheels are from this kit? I started one back in 91... I actually painted it yellow too but I never finished it... got rid of it in 92 and just got it back last year... exactly like it was when I last seen it lol...
