  1. I'm aware that there are different brands of adhesive hobby foil, but I have only used the BMF brand. Have any of you other builders used other brands, and if so, did you get good results?
  2. Making money off the hobby is exactly what Round2, REVELL, Tamiya, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Rustoleum, Duplicolor, and others are doing. Modelhaus did it, and most of us are sad that they are gone. I don't hold it against Dr. Cranky for trying to make a dime from helping guys like me turn out better models.
  3. These are all great builds! I especially like the Imperial and the Pacer. They look pretty sinister, to me!! Well done!!
  4. Three great ones!! The 454SS gets my vote, simply for the reason my stepson had one on those brutes back in the day. I built a replica for him that now resides in my display case. Yours looks like the real thing!
  5. LOL!!!
  6. I'd love to see a Steve Guthmiller beater!!
  7. Thank you, Steve! The Pontiac was a cool project. I have a couple more I might tackle after I clear the bench a little. LoL
  8. TOP SHELF work on all of these!
  9. I've always liked the Magnum. I'll watch this project. Looking good, so far!
  10. Welcome, mate! I'm from Tennessee and I know what a bonnet is! (Ain't that what the ladies wear to church on Sundays?) Just kidding, of course! Do you have any builds of some of those unique Aussie muscle cars? I think some of those look better than some the Muricun stuff!
  11. Another thing to ponder about these two excellent projects is the fact that neither one of these kits has been on the grocery store shelves in many years!
  12. Thanks, guys! The 240Z is the first Datsun I've ever built. Not a bad kit, and I have a couple more to tinker on. The Cuda is not the most highly detailed build, but I had fun with it. Hopefully, I can finish up a few projects I already have on the bench before '21 gets here! LoL
  13. Keep up the great rescue work. They look mighty fine!!
  14. Cool! One each, please!
  15. What a great bunch of builds we don't see every day! Superb work!
  16. I've run into this twice....I bought a kit...it was missing the instructions. Bought another kit so I would have a sheet for both kits. The other instance...I bought two brand new, sealed AMT '70 Impala kits, to do a before and after diorama. One of those kits was missing the instructions. So...it does happen.
  17. I've been keeping instructions, decals, are boxes since the mid eighties. Instructions in one plastic container, decals in another, and boxes in the attic. If I'm building an old kit and the instructions are frail, I make a copy to use for the build process. Sometimes, I do that anyway, and use a red marker to keep up with what I've done. Works pretty well for a sheet that shows a lot of different options.
  18. No worries....I once went 7 years between builds.
  19. I didn't know that until now. So, the kit is of a phantom. I like that! Sorta like MPC's '76 Road Runner kit.
  20. Another one that is hard to come by is the Jo-Han 1968 Ambassador convertible. I got lucky and found one a few years back in the flat box for a great price.
  21. I'll be in the market for one. I'm accustomed to 4dr cars, particularly sedans. The only vehicle my dad owned that wasn't 4 doors was a pickup truck.
  22. Check here: https://www.fotki.com/
  23. I use Fotki, also. I changed the first time PB had a bad hiccup. Haven't had any problems, since.
  24. That's interesting. Thanks for the info. I never thought about the leaves being a problem.
  25. Thanks for the compliment! AMT did a stock one in '66: I have one in the stash. The one I built in the above pic came from this kit: I understand it's the same as the Hemi Under Glass kit.
