  1. Sure it can be done. Cut close to the image and soak all the glue off as mentioned. Once applied and protected it’ll be fine.
  2. I haven’t built any Moebius kits other than the Nova SS and gasser. Both are still on the bench. This may affect whether I purchase the two new Nova kits that are coming out. Probably wait for the reviews.
  3. On surfaces that aren’t glossy it’s best to cut as close as possible to the image. I’ve never had luck with decal solutions making them stick better to these surfaces. It’s more to soften and allow the decal to lay in the contours.
  4. That is well done. Great thank you gift idea.
  5. I went back to take these pictures and realized mine was not all the way down in the front either. Body isn’t glued in place yet. I tried to ease it into place but won’t go all the way down. Maybe the valance is too high where I glued it to the body.
  6. Radiator is even with the core support and like was mentioned before, the upper hose is about even with the battery.
  7. Had the same issue. Trimmed about 1/16” off each end and the brace fit between the headlight buckets.
  8. I use the blue tube. The orange stuff smells too good.
  9. That is a sharp looking truck. Well worth building in scale.
  10. How about one of the engines from the go-cart in the AMT ‘60 Chevy pickup?
  11. Other than the wheels and tires and that hideous grill, the instructions look like the same kit I built. Recent builds of the go-cart kit has had reports of warpage. Just a heads up.
  12. That is a very nice color on just about any model. With different base colors, the finished color can be manipulated. Silver or gold base makes the metal flake pop. With a dark base it will come out as a “black cherry” look. That color red is semi transparent so be sure the base coat is consistent all over. Good luck and post the results.
  13. Enamel has always been my go-to airbrushing paint. Little Testors jars mostly. Thinned with enamel reducer. The shine produced usually needs no clear. Light polishing to remove nibs and you’re good to go. Negative about enamel is the drying time.
  14. I’d like to jump on this. I have a Boyd’s truck that I wasn’t really interested in building so this might be the push I need. Like the idea of no deadline too.
  15. In this day and age of instant gratification it’s refreshing to hear that youngsters are engaging in a hobby that requires patience and discipline.
  16. I hope they include the whitewall tires like shown on the box art. Disappointed that the 64 SS Nova didn’t have them.
  17. So much negativity on the internet these days, it’s refreshing to hear a genuine compliment.
  18. This is a timely post. I’m building a Nova gasser with no carpet. I want the floor black with worn, bare metal areas. I’m going to try the BMF trick.
  19. Well done! Soon as my gasser build is done I’m going to get on this one.
  20. Nicely done. Two things that caught my eye to add to the realism was the partially filled bottle on the inner fender and the reflection of the tailpipe extensions in the bumper. Well built and photographed.
  21. We use a local electrical shop for our alternators, starters and thruster motors. There is a large basket full of end frames for alternators. Should be a shop that rebuilds this stuff near you that can put a new housing on.
  22. Which issue was the subject kit? I have two in the stash, go cart one and the other is a picture of a green built up.
