  1. My LHS has the Nissan Terrano kit in stock. What is a reasonable price for this kit? I don’t need it but at some point would like to try some other kit manufacture then AMT, MPC etc.
  2. For me it’s the 1967 Chevy truck. I’d like to see it with the full detail chassis and bench seat interior.
  3. 25 years ago my mom wanted to clean the attic and basement (model room) in my childhood home. It took 3 small driveway dumpsters. One half of one dumpster was full of model kits built and not as well as boxes of parts and supplies. My brother and I kept a few of our built kits but everything else went to the dump. Got back into building about 5 years ago and had to start over. Should could use that spare parts box now.
  4. Looks great. Will this be a replica build or go with another paint scheme?
  5. I have the wheels that are shown above in the Nova kit if your interested.
  6. Definitely subject. I like pickup trucks and Jeeps. Last, almost completed build was the Moebius Nova SS because I wanted to try my hand at a red interior. Two trucks in process now but stalled. Working on a Dumas wooden boat kit now. Yes I have a bit of the squirrel thing going on.
  7. The engine out of the Monogram Jeep CJ7 is a small block AMC. Could be passed off as a 401.
  8. My favorite year Chevy truck. Love what your doing with the modifications.
  9. Looking good. Your hard work will pay off when the paint goes on. I’ve headed down the rabbit hole again. Received the Chris Craft painted racer for Christmas. Hull framing done and the planking going on. Haven’t decided if I will start a build thread here.
  10. One of the manufactures offer a color “cement”. Now cars can look like a brick and can be the same color.
  11. One of the more obscure subjects that I’ve seen on this forum. It appears you have a working knowledge of these types of machines. Well done, the details are realistic. I can picture a dump truck backed up to that thing dumping the nasty black stuff into the hopper.
  12. I’ve had the same issue with the paint running off the high spots. The cause was not an air brush or paint too thin or primer. Issue was I was in a hurry and tried to get color on in one very heavy coat. Wound up just spraying the parts again the next day in light multiple coats.
  13. She’s going to be a tall girl. Looks good.
  14. I like the color names.
  15. Have a ‘60 Chevy C30 on the back burner. Need to make a flatbed. I’m watching with interest.
  16. Nice builds. I envy the builders that complete more then one a year.
  17. Well done on a wide array of subjects. I don’t build eight models in eight years. Good job.
  18. Merry Christmas to all here on this wonderful forum. Not sure how many hours I’ve spent here but they have all been enjoyable and informative.
  19. Paint manufactures change the formula as the EPA dictates or as a cost cut. Most times these are not in the consumers favor. What worked in the past no longer an option. Learn from the past and knowledgeable responses above and experiment with the products that are designed for the hobby. One wouldn’t paint a house with Rustoleum even though it would save money, a product designed for the surface would be used. Good luck at don’t get discouraged.
  20. Built this kit many, many years ago, thought it’s proportions were a bit off at the time. You did it justice, well done!
  21. It seems when the kit has buckets, we want a bench or vice versa. The door panels look nice.
  22. I have a FireFighter kit in my stash that will never get built. Just don’t see it as a good kit. PM me if you want it.
  23. I think it’s funny that salt water in a bottle is available for sale to use for clearing a stuffed up nose.
  24. I’ve used Play-Doh to make simple molds and it smells good and can be reused.
