  1. Yes, I have the Auto Week issue that it was featured on the cover. Think it's one of his last. I will bet there was a licensing issue with his estate that killed this kit.
  2. Somewhere else on this forum, happened upon a search about finding holy grail subjects, which I named one model. Thought I would search eBay, found this, watched dead bidding, made last minute bid and won. I know it's got to be rare. Ad I clipped. Thought I wasn't buying any more.
  3. The wings look so small on the Pikes Peak car.
  4. Thank you. Yes, first time I drove to Chicago I was amazed at the change of climate. Thank you, and welcome! Thanks 2x. Blue Cloud ran great! Sold the Green Barge, to a nephew of the last owner, it was part of the family. Sometimes a lifter allows blue smoke to be towed, thus the name.
  5. I saw a Lancia Delta HF Integrale in Flagstaff, first one for me. Of course couldn't take a picture. My '68 Chevy was a trooper, with the 50 MPH gusts.
  6. Had wanderlust bad, wanted to see the Canyon Padre bridge, which is on a 15 mile stretch of abandoned Route 66. Life is changing, took the time to escape from everything for a day. I knew it was going to be windy, 50 MPH gusts. Rained some last night (snow on the Peaks), still wet coming up to Flagstaff, then it dried out. These structures could make a cool diorama, a big one. The abandoned bridge. Twin Arrows. Snowed in Arizona, it's May 21. Two Guns. Two Guns zoo. Two Guns modern gas station. I checked the oil here.
  7. Car shows tend to separate the youngsters from the old farts. The owner has a grey ZZ Top beard. The blogger didn't get any more information than me. Good to see he drives it over 100 miles, Flagstaff is north and Phoenix south of me. The YT video is extremely annoying. ?
  8. That's the spirit! That is well done. This was at a local car show last weekend. I told the guy that I grew up with a 190, so had a good conversation. It's a 220, but he put a V8 in the front seat. He has fun getting reactions from purists. He has done sacrilege with a few cars. These were very common, used as taxis in Europe, you can't get the money out of a restoration, unlike a 190SL or Gullwing. So I think it's fun!
  9. Been at the Honda stealer for over 3 hours, found out a rodent chewed through the wiring to the fuel tank. Forgot my power cord for the lap
  10. I just need to know if they are 100% GMO-free grass-fed, not cloned, and have names, and their own pasture, PETA approved, etc. Oh yea, is the container 100% recycled and "sustainable". And when the store cashier asks if I want it in a bag, I say the carton is fine.
  11. Figured as much. It's like the steel railings on top of retaining walls along the freeways in Phoenix, no sidewalk in sight. I guess it's for the maintenance crews.
  12. (NOT PART OF THE GAME) Since I'm Admin of this topic..... I witnessed an old guy in a motorized wheelchair, in the left lane of a 4 lane highway, 5 cops with flashing lights behind him. I couldn't get my phone to wake up in time to take a picture.
  13. I have a '16 Civic Coupe, the seat is 95% back, and it's all the way down. Is hers the 4 door, think it's tighter. I owned an '03 and '07 MINI Cooper, they had plenty of room for me, forget the back seat. I say that I can never own a Lamborghini Countach, designed for Italians, I'm 6'-3". My new irk.... I'm on a water district board. The Chair is causing problems with the Manager, and new customers. I'll spare the details, the main problem is he has horrid speaking ability, takes at least three tries before spitting out a sentence, while never making eye contact with anyone. I've given him the benefit of the doubt, last year gave him a pass on a major issue, but as the saying goes, fool me once........ This is why I have never hired anyone for my business, HR is not my thing. Going to have an Executive Session with the district's attorney soon.
  14. You link didn't work for me. Thanks for the tip! ScaleMates: The Lost In Space Chariot
  15. This could be a fun model to build, don't have to worry about it working, much less getting pulled over.
  16. You did a really nice job on that! I have that kit, still sealed, wondered what it would look like. The amusing thing is the box art, how they deleted the evil cigarette sponsor logos, surprised the decals were included.
