Far as model stuff goes, does a book count? I got the FPP resin kit awhile ago, but the book was found at the antique auto club swap meet recently. I'm having an OCD attack, can see many details on his box art that does not jive with the photographs.

It took the Post Office a week to get a check to Alabama, got a text with a scanned picture saying it didn't make it, then 2 days later the recipient let me know it was deposited. Good thing it wasn't my vote. π€¬ Continuing saga of my last job...... the Surveyor hired by the builder, who I happen to have known for decades, went out to shoot the Finish Floor Elevation, showing that I was within a whole foot (12", about a third of a Meter going off memory), which he said he would be thrilled to be within that much. So he wrote the red tape to appease the Flood Control bureaucrat to allow the owner to build her addition. Cost only $580. Within his document is mentioned "Corps of Engineers" which is required for working within a FEMA flood zone, to work in streambeds, which the County does not want to get a permit from for a project within my Water District. Yesterday I attended a meeting for a local Metropolitan Planning Organization (driven by population and growth), which explained what is happening with the latest and future road projects. Due to a fatality at a critical highway intersection, we looked like LA going to the meeting, and returning home. I know everyone living in cities expects this, but we are quickly getting there. Street signs: In Prescott Valley, there is a neighborhood with variations of _________ View Dr., at one intersection there was a Mountain View Dr., other side Mountainview Dr. π

I know. But another thing that cracked me up, was seeing expiration dates on bottles of water. It's recommended to keep emergency water on hand, so I have collected 2.5 gal. bottles. I'm finding out that the plastic used is self destructing because of the UV rays, when a bottle is moved, and gets a dent, that creates a crack! I need to make a note, get heavy duty water containers! I've seen a unicycle on a single track trail. π³

I know right? π€ When looking at the weather map temperatures, AZ is only State not wiped out, so it's no secret. When I used to ski, lived for deep snow, especially at Alta.

Do you also have 1:1 project cars?

Thank you very much! That is what I meant.π Local climate sure makes a difference in what everyone does. I'm a spaz, right now I have a wild hair to purge my woodshop, started this afternoon. Only three decades of accumulation, finding things I forgot about. π«’ Once I get my act together, one thing sitting I need to do, is redo a glass cover for a diorama. Now that I'm not working, for some reason making priorities is a new thing for me, not used to it. Hang in there regarding your Merc, a good goal to have lurking over you while you're building a model. π -

Purged stuff at the antique auto club swap meet. The GMC owner has 7 of our trucks, he bought the set of wheels that were on my truck, new shocks (that were the wrong application, dummy me), and brake shoes. A few other things sold too, because I was not interested in bringing back home.

The first can of beans I pulled off the shelf, seriously, Twilight Zone. I need to purge the pantry (along with the wood shop, emails, backyard, wood pile, etc.) because I've found WAY PAST dates!

I've never been into computers. It's a tool, if I rented a car, I wouldn't care about the engine displacement, I just want it to run. But to answer your question: "Youβve used 14.71 GB of your 15 GB ..." I'm up to mid 2023 so far, saved about 25 emails so far, a couple from my deceased mom just because. Since I'm on a water district board, found out there was a big leak across the highway, those customers were without water for hours, so I'll post for them. Short story, my subdivision was built by a wildcat developer starting in 1964, they threw the Transite pipe (cement asbestos, hundreds of thousands of miles are across the country) into rocky trenches, it's always been an issue, we got it down to 20-21% leakage. So that has been a long running irk.

What is your NUMBER 1 favorite movie car

I haven't see much about the 'Mad Max' movies, who doesn't like the star? I recently checked out YT videos about the cars, now I want to watch the last one. For all the hype about the Ferrari in the 'Thomas Crown Affair', it had about 30 seconds of time, and never heard it run, so this is like a footnote here. Didn't stop me from building the Italeri: Ferrari 275 N.A.R.T. - Thomas Crown Affair. π- 174 replies

I'm not disciplined, but will be from now on. Before I started the purge, was deleting all the MCM emails as I saw them, except my 'Once Upon A Time' which is my door into the forum. There were pages that half were MCM emails, which I never opened. So I guess this old dog learned a new trick, yay.

Woke up around 1AM, couldn't go back to sleep. π€¬ I figured out the problem, I had not deleted the deleted emails from the Trash file. Lost track of how many clicks it takes to dump an email.

I'm always impressed with guys who can take a basketcase, and resurrect it. I looked at every page (to make sure I haven't posted already) and wonder why some of you build models, nice collections! Don't know if this really qualifies, I did drive Blue Cloud home from Phoenix several years ago, and it's the first vehicle I ever worked on. I will be the first to admit that I'm mechanically challenged, have a great mechanic who knows what he is doing. I did replace the starter, a first for me (planned a couple hours, took all day). Had a 307, which I didn't know existed until reading about how to ID an engine based on the serial number. Last year I splurged, replaced with a 350 H.O. crate engine, carried over the Made In CHYna Holley copy "Brawler", which is bugging me at the moment. This was the first day I got it back on the road, before the brakes were done. Kept the 4 speed, but installed a locker dif, the only bling is the finned cover, which has screwed up the lateral bar (long embarrassing story). Also ditched the front drum brakes and non-boost master cylinder, disks with power is like night and day. I could figure out how to remove the seat, to get a professional to reupholster it, good thing because the foam pads that came with the LMC kit were not correct; I put a seat cover on before installing, and figured out how to lock the slide because I'm tall. I've made numerous items from scavenged steel and aluminum parts. Keeping the survivor patina, you don't see many vehicles with all original panels like this. My left foot started hurting, using an IR thermometer saw 117ΒΊ on the floor, figured that was the cause, added insulation, just throwing carpet over it. Cardboard tube cup holders brought it into this century. π Did my first RallyCross. Camped 17 nights last year. Made a bed cover, only bought new plywood, and a few hardware parts, otherwise scavenged bed frame rails are clamped in place for structure. Dummy me backed into a tree doing a four point turn, bent the bumper, got somewhat bent back, then cut 3 inches off the bottom, I think it looks better. π We had a forest fire recently, just below this spot, which is less than an hour from me, need to check it out. So this isn't nearly as impressive as many who have contributed to this great OT.
