This is story of my life, cue Ironic: "An old man turned ninety-eight He won the lottery and died the next day It's like too many choices to drive you nuts...." Depends what mood I'm in, today it's classics. Something with a V12, something you have to go to an auction, and hope that the Sultan of Brunei doesn't outbid you. If you're going to dream, why waste time on gussied up pedestrian cars? ? In this world of insane wealth of the lucky few, I've become jaded about dreaming about the ultimate "dream car". It's cool to watch Jay Leno checking out amazing cars, I'm happy with that, and having a reliable Honda that gets me speeding tickets just as easily. ?

I had to fix the headlight covers, they were upside down, good thing used Elmers clear, plus I detail painted the rim. I poured sand into a cooking pan, knocked the bottom to create something like drifts, and made tracks. Had to aim down to avoid the lack of a proper background. My sophisticated photo "booth". ? -

Cool to see something unusual, plus a resin kit that might not be offered again, get built! Nice job. How does the mirror on top get used, is there a slot in the roof? Did you make it steerable? -

Final post on this subject..... took some finished pictures. This was a nice break from doing cars. Military modelers are bloody insane, with the microscopic photo-etch details, and individual track links. ? I did the usual flat clear mixed with Africa Korps tan, adding brown for the final coat. Then dusted with tile grout.

Took me awhile to figure out what to look for. At least it's not one of those Magic Eye images, those drove me nuts!

That's sweet! Now I want to hunt down an X19 kit. ? Body-in-white, might be why WRC rally is so popular in Europe, and they race on real roads too. It's an almost unknown racing thing in the USA, I've worked numerous rallies, lucky if a dozen people show up to watch a stage. I think it's because there aren't hotdog and beer vendors out in the middle of nowhere. Sorry to veer off topic. Educate me on what the big deal is.

Being on this forum has been a HUGE inspiration for me too! Thank you for dropping into my topics. It's an awesome feeling to actually build a model, so glad you have knocked these out. The Dino prototype is my favorite, but all look really nice.

Remember when the UAW had a cow about Dodge using the re-badged Mitsubishi called the Stealth for the Indy Pace Car? ? I'm totally clueless about NASACR, no details about what this chassis is. I have to assume it's not a tube frame, but a monocoque carbon-fiber tub, with a fake body bolted to it. Do they have any requirement to still call it a "stock" car, like using a factory badge somewhere?

No warning sign? ? Curious if you sit, the chair/stool is a very important part of my work area. Looks like a great place to focus, and great light all around.

Powered through getting the tracks done! The wood jig really helped out. But I caught a major screw-up, see if anyone catches what I did wrong. The second track took "only" 1.25 hours. Airbrushed the tracks a mixture of leather brown, with a little steel and black, then stippled brown and dry-brushed steel. Got the fenders glued on, exhaust and one more part that I don't know what it is, looks like a vent pipe. Shouldn't take long to finish! ? DONE! Airbrushed the muffler guards, glued on the last plastic parts, weathered. Time for bed.

That came out nice! I got the kit thinking it could be kit-bashed with an older Ferrari, but it's HUGE!

Oh man, I got their Lusso kit, looked at it, and wondered if I would ever get the courage to build it. Will keep an eye on this build, best of luck and may the gods of Patience be with you.
