Tsk tsk, I should block you. ? I do much of the time too, and at 6 o'oclock. I move around more with the thin rim '68 Chevy than the '16 Honda which as as David pointed out 'hint-folks-hands-here' indents. Appreciate the confirmation from several of you.

My OCD is showing...... Since I'm a car enthusiast, who has done autocross and track days, and had a father who passed on some tips from law enforcement driving training, this picture bugs the hell out of me. They should use someone with hands at the 3 (or 2) and 9 (or 10) o'clock positions, and not look like they are day dreaming. Try doing an autocross with the one hand at 12 o'clock, you would run over several cones and get a really shitty time. The elbow on the window sill with hand on the chin, g-forces or rough road, and it looks stupid, might as well be picking his nose. What if an animal or stupid militant pedestrian jumps in front of you, you would make the car lose control by jerking from that position, look for skid marks on roads where they suddenly veer off the road. I had to change something on my insurance, so I showed it to the agent, and she said they have a way to give input to corporate, so she promised to give this complaint. I have more to say, but it gets political, so y'all will have to stay in the dark.

I just happened to watch this video, and there is something about learning to drive a clutch, hope this inspires you.

Welcome to the forum! I kinda hate to admit it, but you did better than I was at your age. I never liked brush painting, if you can master that it will lessen frustration. Well done. It's a right of passage to learn to shift an old fashioned manual transmission. I'm driving my '68 Chevy pickup with 4-on-the-floor more than my Honda Civic with the CVT, just because it's getting new mechanical stuff. LOL Granny gear comes in handy in some cases. It's also a Millennial theft deterrent. ?

You would think an optometrist shop would know what customer service is. On 5/16 I ordered new lenses for 3 existing frames, the Silhouette frames that also needed new clip-on sunglasses. Was told those frames would take about a week to get drilled and lenses installed. Today (2 1/2 weeks later) I got a call, they are ready. When I tried them on, looked in the tray, then asked if the sunglasses came too. The young man went "what?" I said "Yea, I paid for them." He looked at the order and realized HE FORGOT TO ORDER THEM! "Oh, I'll order them" while I thought good idea moron. Hardly an apology. ? Will be loaded for bear next week.

I know many deal with worse health issues more often, sympathize for all. Saw only 5 people on ORVs, and 2 guys on mountain bikes who were in freaking awesome shape riding uphill. Thank you, makes me happy. ?

This is one of my favorite kits, built several versions, great canvas for doing weathering. You did a knock-up job! Love the seat, which is occasionally overlooked. My only suggestion, wad up a tiny piece of red towel and stick where the gas cap is missing. ? -
Motor home or trailer as model workroom. Anyone tried it?

Last century, I met a character at a GSL, who lived in a van, and was able to build killer motorcycle models. So if you put your mind to it, you can do it! I occasionally think about "what if" I decide to sell my house to one of those pests who spam us, could I do it? Depends where I park, if it's at a National Park, I don't think anything would get done. -
This is the only thread that I can get away with posting about my current obsession - possession deal at the moment. ? Instead of building or buying models, it's fixing up my pickup. What pleased me today was driving up to Mt. Union (Prescott N.F.), and Blue Cloud performed flawlessly. The newly reupholstered seat with "saddle blanket" cover was very comfortable, and it was a beautiful day, and I didn't encounter any morons. I've been doing a bunch of things, all new: GM 350 HO crate engine, headers and Flowmaster exhaust system, aluminum radiator, positraction gear set in the dif, power brake booster and front disk brakes, 1 inch wider mags and tires, Hella accessory lights, and various scratch-built improvements. I'm also coming out of recovering from a split molar and infection which required Amoxicillin that kicked my butt big time and am finally able to not require napping half the day, so that's what really REALLY pleased me today. I lost 25 pounds in the past month! So I'm a happy camper, looking forward to camping soon with Blue Cloud.

Five is too many for me, but that's just me. Future projects is way more than that. My eyes are getting old, so I'm approaching critical mass depression about it.

That is extreme, demand seeing the By-Laws and make them point out where they can do that. I'm having the same heartburn about my County doing selective enforcement by the building department. Some time ago, had a client who was going to build his home on the last lot, at the end of a street, pie shape, hillside, custom design to every setback line except the front. The HOA design review committee was the homeowners in the immediate vicinity, when I walked in, could tell the old woman hunched over the plans was going to be the problem child. She was on the left side, said he needed to save some Scrub Oak trees by reducing his footprint, then unrolled her sketch over my blueprints! ? I let the customer answer, since he was going to have to coexist with her. Then the guy on the right, said he needed to save the trees! ? I said in a dripping with sarcasm voice, "tell you what, why don't you both buy the lot, then split it so you can save the trees?!?!" Her look was worth it. ? I have begged off homes in HOAs by doubling my going rate. I don't live in an HOA for this reason. Recently got this email:

I've been wary of that from day one! Yes, the sign post sure won't stop a launch. So if I'm several cars back in the U-turn lane, I would be dead. I don't have a big problem with handicap parking spaces, I do wonder if some are mentally handicapped. A place I do business at all the time, got new pavement. They also deleted one parking space for other people, with the diagonal line box, and made the end spot (behind me) really narrow. Next time, if there is no HC sign at the diagonal box, guess what? Oh wait, the ramp......

At one time I thought building Route 66 gas stations would be fun. I built one, it's my icon picture. The problem, need lots of room, and no cat.

What's with the U.S.Post office these days?

Wuhan Red Death screwed everything up with humanity. It's across the board, the health "care" industry is a really sad example. Just be glad you can order stuff from around the world, back in the old days with paper magazines, sending checks in the mail, paying for long distance phone, that was fun. This is just a hobby.
