Polar Lights 2005 Ford GT Snap. Pretty nice snap except I wish I could get the body to sit down on the chassis like it should.

Looking really good. Please keep us posted on your progress. I built the curbside Hasegawa kit before I knew about the Tamiya.

Thanks for the disassembly tip Rich.

Thanks for the suggestion Andy, I feel honored. Sent you a PM.

Oh yeah!! Looks really good in the blue. I also have the silver version so thanks for the tips. I was surprised at the tiny emblem on the gas tank door and the Pontiac in the grille. My only concern is the headlamps seen small to me.

Yes it is working now. Super idea.

Bring Out Your Dead... Long Stalled Models
Gramps46 replied to Tom Geiger's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I saw those also. My guess is an Andy Martin Maserati Birdcage and a Scale Kraft Kaiser by Guido Fieuw from South Africa. Oh I wish Guido was still making his unusual models. -
David, what a great idea! The link gives an error message but I can imaging the scene. Can't wait to see it in motion. Gary

Alex, When 26681 was being restored there was a request on FChat for photos from Le Mans and I sent then some I had on file. When the restoration was completed they sent me some studio photo. I have included here some of the detail photos which I received. I hope they can be useful for you.

I remember building a roadster when it was released with the rotating headlamps. Foolishly gave it to a girlfriend, dumb move on my part. The current snapper has really shallow grilles on the hood which must be masked before painting the body, learned the hard way. This is an older reissue '63 but it has the '67 backup light.

Nicely done indeed.

Budd Anderson and GT40
Gramps46 replied to Gramps46's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There were two movies that used Ford GT40s as camera cars. Grand Prix used P1027 and Le Mans used P1074. They would make neat models using the Fujimi kits. -
Could that be Budd Anderson on the left? ITED STATES - DECEMBER 05: 1966 8th Annual International Motorama - Great Western Exhibit Center. This Ford GT-40 was fitted with cameras for the filming of John Frankenhe66 movie Grand Prix as used to film the innovative low fast moving shots that help made this iconic racing movie.

Now that is interesting about the window frames and the front axle. This is my Motomax 1970 SS 396 El Camino and it has the straight axle and window frames.
