  1. I think my local Ollie’s has the mail truck…
  2. Badman and the '55 Chev were the only ones Monogram did.
  3. I'm a huge WW2 buff and yes, I agree. It was well put together based on the book even though it is a story. It was interesting to see real images of the destruction of Saint-Malo.
  4. Yeah…after had watched The Family Switch trailer, I’m gonna pass on it. I did enjoy watching All the Light We Cannot See. Very good series (4 episodes) and highly recommended.
  5. ROFL!! This never gets old.. https://pin.it/4P3sGlu
  6. I won tickets for Bryan Adams at MSG back in 1984. At the time, I worked at JC Pennys and they ran a contest drawing to see him in MSG. I was one of the lucky winners. I guess stuffing the ballot boxes every morning while on the job (I worked the day shift in the maintenance dept) before the store opened at different cashier stations paint off for me. LOL!
  7. I love MPC car kits. Monogram (not the new Revellogram kits) is a close second. The old Revell kits is third. AMT kits is a distant 4th.
  8. Probably going back to the 70s early 80s at best.
  9. I want one too. LOL! Can't find one at my local Ollie's.
  10. Hmmm... I really never had "difficult" car kits in my 50 plus years of building. I've had a few PITA difficult aircraft kits over the years. In all honesty, the current Revellogram repop of the original Monogram P-61 Black Widow is a hot mess. Nothing fits. Ended up binning that POS... Next time, I'll be looking for the original white box Monogram P-61 Black Widow kit. In fact any original white box Monogram aircraft kits - like the Marauder, B-52 Stratofortress, Liberator, B-17 Fighting Fortress, etc... At least you know everything fits...
  11. That’s a cool scheme. Can’t imagine what the original exterior color would be to match the custom pleather quilted interior. Even the dash was custom made. LOL!
  12. Hospital nurse shortages is a big problem now. With a new hospital opened up downtown in my city (which I was 100% against it since they had land to expand on the old site), nurse shortages and protests by nurses due to unfair wages if ongoing. After shutting down both St Luke's and St Elizabeth hospitals, this hospital is now called Wynn Hospital - named after a pervert who donated $$$$ to the hospital. Mr. Wynn is not from this area but resides in Vegas. I've already told my wife, if anything happens to me and they stabilzes me, I want to be transferred to Cooperstown or Syracuse. Before you ask why the transfer... I want to survive. LOL!
  13. You can get the Flintstones kit on ebay. Along with some naughty poses figures of Velma and Daphne. I think there were some of Wilma and Betty too. Just gotta know where to find it on ebay. Hmmm.... I'll have to check out the magazine at my local Barnes & Nobles store for a quick look-see.
  14. I'm currently reading Eddie Rickenbacker book. No, he was never shot down a few times nor was given last rites in the field during WW1. Yes, he was shot AT but never shot down and crashed. He survived the war unscathed and was ranked Captain. He did spend time in a hospital for pneumonia and ear infection during WW1.
  15. Thanks for the info. I didn't think they produced a Rickenbacker auto kit. But somebody should. Such an iconic car for its short existence in her time.
  16. Is there a Rickenbacker automobile (any year from 1921 - 1927) that exists or produced as a model kit? I’m currently reading his autobiography (published in 1946) and it is a fascinating read.
  17. Nice! I'm very familiar with Gabreski's Thunderbolt. He most likely flew the P-47N during the Korea conflict
  18. Nice! Dan Gurney Lotus Racer and the 409 Impala at your store. Those are on my wish list.
  19. Those photos are always a treasure to like on to. Recently, my wife got a text from one of her sisters a famiiy group photo of her dad along with his siblings when they were kids. And another of her grandmother on her dad's side holding her aunt as a baby.
  20. Not car related but odd out of place sorts. On my North courier run for BOCES, I've been meaning to take a pic of it.... A side note: there is no major airport within at least a 2 hour's drive in all directions from Dolgeville, NY So if anybody is in need of a set of wheels to a 747 or some other like it, here's your chance to buy them. LOL...
  21. Ollies always looks like post Black Friday all year round. ROFLMAO!
