  1. Ever noticed some grocery items used to be bigger, now they're smaller yet charges the same price? Two good examples... Paper towels at BJs used to be big rolls (close to 200 sheets per roll) now they're 160 sheets per roll. Walmart Perfect Kitty litter. They used to carry 25 lb bag for $4 each. Now same litter brand shrunk to 20 lb bag ans still charging $4 a bag. I can easily get 3 litterbox changes in a 25 lb bag. With a 20 lb bag, 2 1/2 litter box changes... at best if I'm lucky.
  2. LOLOL! I knew about the proposed new postal increase a couple months back. Old news….
  3. Hey now…. That’s a great idea to do on my Thanksgiving Pumpkin pie this year…. ROFL!
  4. Not too surprising on the flash. Old molds from Revell. Looking good so far. I remember seeing that kit in the 70s. I building the oldie Revell L.A. Street Chopper and the California Highway Patrol Police Bike kits. I’ve been looking for the Yamaha Dirt Bike kit for years for a decent price. There is another dirt bike kit I wanted to get but can’t remember what one it is. The only thing I remember was the box cover showing the dirt bike in action photo. Suzuki or Husqvarna dirt bike perhaps?
  5. Wait…you’re going to use Bare Metal Foil on that mustang kit? I hate to burst the bubble on your method. P-51 Mustangs during WW2 are never shiny chrome. They were dirty and over time you find them with varying shades of bare metal silver panels on fuselage, wings, etc… I use a couple different shades of silver to represent a silver P-51 Mustang of WW2, never chrome. A P-51 Mustang applied with bare metal foil overall would look tacky. How will you seal in the decals? Clear gloss coat will most likely mar that shiny chrome finish you’re hoping for. It certainly won’t win any trophies at a IPMS show. Then again, if you’re building to represent today’s restored museum quality P-51 Mustang…. Don’t take it to offense. I build mostly model aircraft kits nowadays but still build a lot of car models as well.
  6. That's great! I do this with any spam calls... You know those Minions Fart gun toys? Oh they're loads of fun til you get bored with it. My sister bought it for me a few years ago as a prank. Fear not... if your child has one, borrow it. Things are gonna get fun again. Next time you get a telemarketer/SPAM call, answer it but don't say anything... aim that fart gun and squeeze the trigger a few times into the phone and hang up. I'll betcha you won't be hearing from them again. ROFL!
  7. That was the least of my problems then. I believe the key ignition was on the lower dash next to the steering wheel, not on the steering column. I could be wrong. It's been over 50 years since I last owned it. LOL!
  8. I'll probably pick this kit myself as well. Not right away, but soon.
  9. Mother-in-law? Roflmao….
  10. Push button start. Hate'em.... I'd rather have push button automatic instead. My old '64 Dodge Dart had it.
  11. Protestors... not gonna say who and what for.
  12. Fake. They're photoshopped.
  13. Nope. Looks gross... LOL!
  14. Ok... out of the "labels" of a model kit hobbyist I know I'm not a rivet counter, a whiner, trophy hound- heck, I don't even build to get in a p!ssing contest at shows, closet Modeler, tool nut, one who spends time at the bench reading forums than building, etc... Am I a hoarder or "squirrel"? Depends on who you ask. I wouldn't consider as one. I build my stash only on stuff I want. Am I constantly buying kits every week? Absolutely not. If I find a kit at a garage sale/estate sale/antique store/Goodwill store that interest me for a great cheap price... oh yeah as long as it's complete. I'm always on the lookout for vintage model kits I used to build as a kid as long as the price is reasonable. That's my story and I'm sticking it it. LOL!
  15. Yes, those are the rims I need.  What do you want for them?

  16. I don't think it's a pot shot towards anyone in particular nor insults. It's all in good humor. Remember... this is suppose to be a relaxing hobby. I , too don't have time for folks who get offended too easily or assumed anything out of jest. Look, even my wife tells me I'm a "hoarder" with my model kit stash. I laugh and call her a hypocrite because of the ungodly number of shoes, summer sandals and clothes she has in her closet. Oh yeah... half of them either she doesn't or hardly even wear. Go figure.
  17. Those who build aircraft, armor and ships are the worse rivet counters than car modelers.
  18. No pic...
  19. I agree. Listen to what he has to say about EV Semis... https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/truck-driver-destroys-entire-ev-narrative-in-under-2-minutes/ar-AA1j6LuY?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=462c92f26faa42b6929ba34203e90828&ei=15
  20. I remember those work mats.
  21. My local Ollie’s has the Mail truck, Nova wagon, ‘41 Plymouth, Surf Shark, and a couple others I can’t recall what they were.
  22. During the 70s, I've done a few Star Tek kits from the Enterprise, Klingon, Romulus, Spock figure diorama, and the Exploration set. Fond memories building those kits as a kid.
  23. There's an all black squirrel in my area from time to time but not very often I see him. A cool sight to see.
  24. He drowned in his hot tub after a 2 hour round of playing pickleball. No evidence of drugs or foul play.
