  1. Rob. I'm sure we'd all like to see your method in a brief tutorial perhaps? Jeff. Duplicolor lacquers are very tough stuff. 90% isopropyl alcohol does work. I recommend though, you use the old Super Clean degreaser BUT first sand through to the primer in a half a dozen spots on the body. Let the chemical attack the primer. After a week or so, the lacquer should slough off like a snake skin.
  2. That's terrific man. I really like it. Excellent work.
  3. I've heard of discord in gaming circles, but I've never been involved very much. Is it voice chat where you need a headset?
  4. Outstanding work Tom. I've been kicking around a TRoG build with the AMT '32 Chrysler, that I'm going to start soon.
  5. Jacob, I'm right there with ya. I have a full time job and a 10 acre homestead. There is a never ending honey-do list.
  6. Yes. Apparently he skipped physics class. Also he is likely the first person hit by a car that wasn't moving horizontally.
  7. What he said. the heat is your trouble I think.
  8. Correct. This build off runs until December 1st. Good luck finding a second kit. Guys, I just don't think I'm gonna be participating this year. One, I'm seriously busy at work and at home. And two, and my interest in the theme this year is very low. I'll continue to moderate and cheer you guys on, but likely no plastic from me. We'll see what next year brings.
  9. Much to my surprise, my favorite detail is the arced windscreen. Much more noticable in Chris' photos. It looks like it is channeled the width of the frame. I think with the standard 32 roadster, the 32 sedan for the engine and the '29 Model A (all from Revell) for the exhaust system & wheels/tires. You could get pretty close.
  10. Most folks spraying Molotow are working from the refill bottles. I have seen some very good results but not from anyone who isn't fairly proficient with an airbrush.
  11. I agree. I'm near 51 and I doubt I'll see this on a large scale in my lifetime, which I am not sorry about.
  12. People are really gonna regret the whole idea when Skynet goes active.
  13. Gotcha. Sorry.
  14. Sorry. Try jbwelda, no caps.
  15. Easy enough to ask. William is known as JBWELDA on this forum.
  16. Really great looking work. A note on electrical tape - If it was stretched at all, it will try to return to it's original shape. That's why it's so good when wrapped around something. It tightens. But on a flat surface, not so much. The adhesive isn't good enough to hold it on a flat surface.
  17. I agree with Dennis. Very unfortunate. I'll be back at the bench on this very soon.
  18. Brad thanks a lot for taking excellent photos and posting them. It was a great show.
  19. Tremendous work. Outstanding.
  20. Real nice work Jim. I like it.
  21. Real nice work. The shadow photograph is a real neat idea.
  22. Mark it was a real treat to see this model in person. A well deserved award. I'm fairly certain everyone who saw it realized quickly they were now competing for second place. And it was nice to meet you as well.
  23. Gregg it was nice to meet you. I hope you are feeling better.
