I don't usually toot my own horn when I win something, but I thought you guys might like to tsee this. Before the window nets and the decals this Studebaker was my Cannonball racer several years ago. Sunday it won fourth in Competition- Circle Track & Road Course at GSL27. With the level of work that was there, I'm pretty stoked with fourth. It's a Le Carrera Panamericana racer.

Which, as I believe I've mentioned, was why Harry nixed the idea back when he started working for the mag. A huge time sink.

There is a danger to that as well. My dad is in this situation. Hates the meds so he sits. All day every day. His muscles aren't being used, so they don't support him as well and his pain level goes up. This is a very difficult situation to work up from.

Has this ever been investigated? If I had to take a swag, I'd have to say the AMT General Lee, some drag racing icon, a Revell 1st gen Camaro, or the Lindberg/AMT '34 Ford pick-up. Thoughts?

Are the control arms something that you've adapted for this use, or something you've hand formed? This looks really good.

What a mash up of design. The body says, 70's, the bumpers say 60's, the grill/headlights says 50's. Yeesh.

I believe I used the top of the plenum that these carbs fit on from their original kit ('55 Jukebox Ford), and added them to the Allison piece, with the aviation carbs removed. Pretty easy fabrication really. A shot with the fuel plumbing started.

I live about 40 miles outside of town. Blessed far away from any moron who would pay $200 to spend a light in a plaster potato.

When I started this Charger project, I contacted the fella in that roadster. He advised a carb set-up like this, as the molded part is aircraft fuel specific.

The world is getting wierd, no two ways about it. I have a friend who is a homesteader in south Florida. Lately his livestock predation issues have gone far beyond coyotes and raccons. He's dealing with boas, pythons, monitors and tegus. Another in Kansas has had his place flattened twice now in four years by tornado. Polar vortexes, bomb cyclones, and killer hurricanes oh my. There is an ancient curse, of disputed origin, that someone would lay on their enemy. "May you live in interesting times." Brothers and sisters, we are there. The Revell 32 Sedan, has a flathead and the grill you'll be needing. The flathead is really excellent. Combined with the Revell 29 Model A, I figure you're 90% there.

The fictional/experimental/mystical DOHC Hemi from the AMT 70 Superbee would be the most logical engine for this I think. If you are going to build a car/engine combo that's never existed, you may as well use an engine that never existed. It's also a cool looking engine.

That is kinda funny. Most of the photos I find are sans headlights but some still have them. They have the rule I'm sure to keep broken headlight glass off the beach.
