Forgive me if this seems be argumentative but why does it have to get complicated? Just because he remembers every nut and bolt, doesn't mean he's going to expect that from your gift to him. Most folks are happy if the model looks right from the shelf. How often is he going to pick it up and examine every detail?

Which Model Gave You a Whoopin'?

A lot of this is how long the paint has had to cure and what tape you are using.

Looks terrific. Well done sir.

That would be me. I stop following football after my Bucs cash out, but I always catch the Super Bowl. Hard to get interested in a game when you want both teams to lose.

1928 Ford Sedan 60's Style Altered UPDATED 2/10/19
Jantrix replied to Dennis Lacy's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Looking great Dennis as usual. Round 2 was able to round up all the parts and restore the '25 Double T kit (missing since '61-ish), hopefully they can pull another rabbit out of their hat and find this one. I'd buy 'em. -
Terrific work Dann.

Looking good. That's a bucket list kit for me too.

I quite agree. Very realistic. For a first go at it, I'd call this a success. Another thing I like is that you changed rust shades on different parts, the bumpers are different than the body for instance. So many modelers forget that nothing that rusts does so uniformly or in the same shade of rust. Well done.

How many ways could this thread go ?

Terrific work. Great look, stance, decals. The wheels scream a particular time period, but aren't so dated that they don't still look cool. I dig it.
-
The Australian manufacturers had several body styles that I really like, including that Monaro. This is the Aussie Ford Falcon XB (of Mad Max fame). Of all muscle car body styles of the time period, this one is in the top 5 for me.

Need Some Clarification
Jantrix replied to TarheelRick's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Man I wonder whats the point of that? I've seen some mickey mouse stuff on hot rods before (fake hemi valve covers and the like) but this is really weird. Why not just get the right headers in the first place? -
Outstanding! Wayne, it's always good to hear from you and I'm happy you will be joinging us. The 11 month timeline is designed to allow folks who maybe have only two or three hours of build time a week (like myself), to still participate, be involved and complete a model. I like your idea.

What v 8 engine is in the 41 AMT Plymouth
Jantrix replied to my66s55's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Dam. Now I have to buld it, make it look decent, use whatever parts I want, and call it EXACTLY that. Gotta happen. -
That looks really nice. I dig it. I'm wondering though what you meant by mythical? Were you perchance meaning fictional?
-
Fred that's looking really good. Outstanding planning.
-
I know what you mean, I'm doing the same things. Not as easy as I was hoping. Espcially as I decided not to just swap in a Monogram '37 Ford chassis and be done with it. I didn't want to part out another kit.
-
That's just crazy enough to work! Thanks, I'll get that idea going asap.
-
Very cool. I built one along those lines too, but you took it a lot further. More extreme. Nice work.

x2.

Really fantastic work. Looks like the real thing. Whatever the client is paying, it's likely not enough.

Are you doing a period correct 70's van? I was going to suggest a photoreduced solar panel on top.
