  1. Anyone done something like this? If so, what sort of materials did you use?
  2. I did a cooler for my surf Lincoln.
  3. I quite agree. I try for "technical plausibility". However I will fudge a bit to get the look I'm after.
  4. The '53 Studebaker Starliner posable steering. However as they also wanted variable ride height, they completely left accuracy behind, causing the crossmember and lower a-arms to sit way too low.
  5. Steve, there is a gap behind the intercooler, it's on a bracket, but most likely you are right. This was my reference. I appreciate the interest.
  6. As the y-block uses an up and over exhaust manifold, how about a rams horn style header? They do make them for y-blocks and there are plenty of them available in Chevy kits. The exhaust spacing is pretty close.
  7. Thanks guys. It was a fun build.

    Junk.

    That. Is. Impressive.
  9. I'll definitely be following along. There are details of this car that I like. The whole package .............. I'm not sure. It could grow on me.
  10. I'd like to get my hands on this kit.
  11. Thanks Don. The kit really lent itself well to the project.
  12. Thanks guys. With the hole in the hood available, it seemed the logical place for it.
  13. A couple of Johans and yes, I will be building them.
  14. Curious as to what you mean by betting on so many. Do you think they will go up in value?
  15. Looking good. I'll be following along.
  16. I like subtle customs (or kustoms). One where you might not at first glance notice all the custom work beyond a chop top. One thing is a complete no go for me. When you reduce or utterly destroy the drivability of the car. A car is a method of conveyance first, always! Any change in that abilty reduces the vehicle to a 4000 pound paperweight. Regardless of how nice it might look.
  17. Aaaaaaannnnnnnnd done. More pics in the under glass section
  18. Built for this years Cannonball Run with our in-liners theme. Revell Goodguys 41Willys. It's got a turbo'd and efi'd slant six from the Lindberg Dodge 330, with a Mopar five speed tranny. Please note that I am NOT a mechanic. I know there are probably better ways to do the turbo, but I did the best I could with limited knowledge and Google. I wanted it to be unusual and eye catching, but look functional. As always comments, criticisms, and questions are welcome.
  19. What a beast! I really dig it. I should be wrapping up my Cannonballer this week and I'll be restarting the '40 Ford for this CBP.
  20. He's still active on his You tube channel.
  21. Really terrific. Glad to see her wrapped up.
  22. I figured. Was just having a bit of fun. The Silvia looks awesome. I'm taking the rest of the week off after the fourth, giving me a five day holiday. It is my firm intention on giving the hobby room a thorough cleaning and then FINISH the Willys. Fingers crossed.
  23. India Pale ale? I've never heard of anyone using beer as a stripping medium before. Seems like a waste of beer to me.
  24. Outstanding. Glad to see this one back on the bench.
