  1. Another option would be to create a light box with just a couple of LEDs in it, and run fiber optics to the back of each of the lights, from the light box. Optical fibers are pretty easy to get. A lot of holiday decorations use them.
  2. Terrific work. I just wish it was ................. low.
  3. The Revell '67 Charger. A fantastic kit, but as it's not 68, 69, 70, it doesnt get much love.
  4. We did a poll at the end of last year and picked from the top five. Inliners won of course, but here are the remaining four still for consideration. 4 cylinders ONLY Pro-Touring - I think this is gonna be my pick. Oddballs Vans - to include panel trucks but not sedan deliveries
  5. The AMT 73 Cougar kit comes with a very nice 351. 429 also.
  6. That is a really slick hot rod. I dig it.
  7. Thanks guys. I'm having a good time with it. Still undecided on paint. My usual MO is something weathered or a flat paint job. I'm also just kicking around just leaving it red oxide primer.
  8. As the purple pond is likely too small, I'm thinking Easy Off and do it in sections
  9. I built this one as a kid. When I was done everything opened and closed, and rear side windows went up and down. To this day, I've no idea how I did it.
  10. Very nice work. I've always liked that style wheel.
  11. I approve. I did a 2JZ pacer a few years ago for our Sleeper Cannonball. It was fun.
  12. Dennis, everything about this is JUST right. An excellent hot rod. Well done sir.
  13. If you are going to build this, you have your work cut out for you. The Imposter has a laundry list of mods, some so subtle, they are hard to put your finger on. I wish you nothing but luck on this. I look forward to seeing the work.
  14. Jeremy that looks great. Some work done yesterday. Going for a Blazer-esque top off look.
  15. Fixed. Welcome to the Cannonball.
  16. I like where this is going. I'll be following along.
  17. Welcome Rick. A 2JZ Firebird! I like it. Is that the AMT Supra 2JZ?
  18. This is a rather advanced modification. I ruined a few kits as a kid attempting it. Here's a thread where someone did the same thing. Because of the nature of the kit, this isn't as easy as cutting at the door lines. Theres a lot of filling around the firewall and floorboards. I would do a lot of Google searching of real cars, learn what the firewall is supposed to look like and see if you feel comfortable trying it.
  19. Oh heck yeah. She and a few others helped jump start puberty back in the day. The outfits they put her in on Buck Rogers used to give my mother fits.
  20. Are you going to strip all that old paint off?
  21. Engine shots or is it a curbside? Looks great.
  22. Thats some terrific work. I'd like a peek at the bottom.
  23. That's the way I'm leaning. Thanks for your input. I'm gonna do a roll bar, second row seat and spare tire. Tube bumpers and a skid plate. Paint is still up in the air. That reminds me. Anyone got a wheel/tire from this kit to spare?
