  1. Some more work done. Gotta figure out the lighting before I go much further. Im no framer but this seems close enough. I added some models for scale.
  2. Thanks David. I don't recommend the foam core. Once the "plywood" was glued on, they curled up badly. It took a while under some bricks to flatten out again. I'm not sure what I would use in it's place. I have the balcony all framed out and I'm working on the staircase. I plan on adding some lighting so I'll have to do some soldering and wiring before I lay the balcony flooring. Pics tonight.
  3. Finally some more work on this one. I've made a jig for the balcony. And I've started the stairs. It's coming along slowly. More soon.
  4. How could they possibly be wrong?
  5. I'll be sure and let Revell know they need to get your seal of approval before releasing new kits. Seriously guys, what a bunch of whiners. Don't like it? Don't buy one. Spare us your righteous "stock bodied" indignation.
  6. I only use CA glues or white glues on painted parts. No scraping of paint required.
  7. I quite agree. Looking forward to it.
  8. All of us are as clueless as you on this issue. Perhaps our moderators and system admin might know something, but odds are they will not give answers without Greggs say-so. For whatever reason you don't want to contact Gregg directly, that is your only option.
  9. We have some really great knowledgeable folks here on that sort of stuff. I think if you post each question in the Q&A section as they come up, you will likely get the help you need.
  10. Amazing work.
  11. They are really nice looking. I believe I just hit them with a black wash on my roadster.
  12. Very authentic. Looks like it was pulled from a period photo.
  13. Very impressive. I like it.
  14. The Revell 29, 30 and 32's Model A's and B's. Ther'es just so many ways to do them and they are really great kits with easily interchangable parts.
  15. See now THIS is a great idea. I have done this many times with a less-than-terrific (or interesting) kit or a mess of leftover parts.
  16. After the aforementioned 1st gen Charger, this would be my next choice. This is the Aussie Ford Falcon XB. Like the Charger the overall shape and look of this car just pleases me. It screams "muscle car" more than just anout any other car of the era.
  17. Chris, that's some real talent right there. Outstanding work.
  18. Wow. Some amzing work going on here. This is really shaping up to be a really great run.
  19. My folks moved us to Tampa Bay, FL. back in '81 when I was 12. I have great memories of the old neighborhood though andI'm still in touch with the old gang on Henry Place. Facebook is a wonderful thing for that. Man, I gotta agree.
  20. 1st Gen Charger. No question. So many cool design cues here that I fell in love with it even as a kid. I must have built a half dozen of the old MPC kits.
  21. Looking good Jim, I like the creativity.
  22. I lived on Henry Place off 5th Ave, near Sunrise Hw. We might not have been neighbors, but we could have sat next to one another the the Islip Speedway or the Friendlys.
  23. This is 30 gauge wrapping wire. The insulation from a larger gauge for the boots. There are those that say 30 gauge is too big and not to scale. Mathematically they are correct. I think it looks good so I'm happy with it.
