  1. I like that's its a stripped down race car. Nice work. Maybe add a number on the door?
  2. I think your modifications are a huge improvement on this model. The wood grain areas look spot on in my opinion. Great color choices. I think it's a winner.
  3. Don't mince words Bill, tell us how you really feel. Gotta love a guy who's that passionate about his work.
  4. Thanks, I'll get the DVR set up to record.
  5. Outstanding work. I'd be real proud of that.
  6. For me it depends on the project and what I want for a particular model. In defence of the one piece chassis though, you really will improve your hand painting skills doing them, if you have the inclination to go beyond the flat black spray paint.
  7. Umm.................yeah about that. MCM is run on a shoestring, with very few people involved. You will get all the mags you purchased. It just might take three years.
  8. I agree. At 1/12 your options are limited. Or try Shapeways. Maybe someone has already done it.
  9. OMGIDIWIG! - Oh my gosh I dropped it where'd it go! CBP - Community Build Project
  10. Welcome. Seeing more race cars is ever a bad thing. As far as detailing though, many of us have turned detailing on the cheap into an art form, so that it doesn't hurt the wallet. There's no need to buy everything from Detail Master for one model when something in a craft store can get you close, and enough for many models. Looking forward to seeing your work.
  11. You heard it here first folks! New word. Great idea Snake. I will be trying that method in the near future.
  12. I'm no mechanic but I do know that old gas is never good for an engine. Before she starts up that might be something to change first. That's assuming you haven't of course. If you have, well done, carry on, and I wish you luck.
  13. Ill be turning 50 next month.
  14. Very nicely done. I like it a lot.
  15. I built this one as a kid. Only the instructions are still around. I'd like to have any of these reissued.
  16. After what we talked about via PM, I think I'm going to have to get this kit again and give it another go. Maybe improve on the orginal design. I really like your work here.
  17. I'm really enjoying this. Keep it going!
  18. That's a terrific looking model. Huge decals can be a real pain. On a side note, I think it was a shame the 86 El Camino SS didn't come with the 86 Monte Carlo SS wheels. Probably one of the best factory wheel to ever be released.
  19. Welcome to MCM forums. This is the same on the scale auto side. Molds are serviced and refurbished but almost never are they outright replaced.
  20. Very neat idea and really well executed. I dig it.
  21. Very impressive. i can't find a thing I don't like.
  22. As a kit, I'll agree they aren't worth spit. But as a truly unique subject there are lots of options. I put this body on a shortened stock car chassis for the very first Cannonball CBP over ten years ago. It's still a favorite. The Captain Chaos Special.
