  1. Doing great. Looks excellent so far! What a great idea for a trailer. AMT missed an opportunity for doing this.
  2. 168 hours. If you're counting only the building time, this seems doable. For me, that 168 hours could take YEARS!? But I can appreciate the goal you have set. Make the finish line in sight! Best wishes.
  3. My interest is mainly in the bus. Last issue I know of that one is back in the early to mid 90s, so I'm sure that was still in USA. Multi-piece body aside, it still was a fun kit. Although, I personally wish it wasn't so customized. I would have liked it more like the 21 window it started out as, but I'd take it anyway I could get it!
  4. It was also in the "backbirth" MPC 69 Camaro SS, at least the 80s issue in black. As they used the 69 Firebird undercarriage to restore the dirt track racer it came from. It might have been in later issues, but I'm not sure.
  5. I'm sure there are a few here who aren't interested in the lowrider scene, but you've got to appreciate the amount of detail and craftsmanship that goes into these builds.
  6. What about removing the outer part and putting the center into another wheel with better detail?
  7. I didn't want to add confusion to the Atlantis "New Releases" thread, so I'll just ask the question here. Does anyone have any information on whether they acquired the Revell Volkswagens? Since Revell already has newer toolings for these kits, it seems redundant that they would keep these, as they would probably never use them.
  8. OK, no worries then. It is what it is!
  9. Interesting on the box art. Vintage issue was based on the Monogram 32 Ford. All the cars have changed, both mechanics are different and in different positions... But the girl is still doing her nails.
  10. Nice work on all of them. One little suggestion, the photo of the red 60 Corvette looks a little distracting in the display case. Might be better photographed without it.
  11. Classy color for that Vette. I like the license plate. I wonder who owns it.
  12. Check out that great trim job inside the trunk. I've seen better attention to detail from a third grader. And this is supposed to be a show car? That's 15k well spent, I'd say!
  13. I never got all the esteem paid to the "Uncertain T". To me it always looks like the car was put out in the sun and it melted. Driving it looks like a spinal injuring process. I wouldn't want to try to sit back in that cockpit, for fear of banging my head against the back window.
  14. I myself prefer the rigid spoons, but I find the paint on it affects the taste of the ice cream in the bowl.
  15. This is my story on this picture. I'm going to speculate the driver was the solemn looking guy with the beard and dark blue jacket being hugged by the blonde guy with the shades. He doesn't look too happy about the outcome and his buddies just came around to hassle him. I believe the part about swerving to miss something, but judging by the flattened fenders, that car rolled over and hit a pole or maybe vice versa. I seriously doubt that with the setup and rake that car has, that it was driven very carefully. I had many teenage friends with cars like these and all I can say is how lucky they were to be alive after those cars were gone! ? In the 1980s, teenagers were the death of many of these cool cars. I had a six cylinder, automatic, peg-leg Camaro as my first car, so I had nothing to show off!
  16. Thanks, now I can breathe. This Mach1 in Grabber blue will be an excellent choice!
  17. Nope it's better, at least the horn works in his. ?
  18. You gonna add Arnold to the front as a hood ornament? If I built this as a kid, I probably would have finished it off just like in the movie. If you get my drift.
  19. That's a great tip! I have that kit and planned on building it as a Consolidated Freightways set up. Now I know what to do with the extra decals!
  20. Well, they are Grrreeaatt!!!
  21. The interior in this kit doesn't look half bad, considering the butchered mess they started with in the original General Lee/K&K Insurance Daytona aberration. You've improved the chassis a lot with the details you've added and corrected. Hard to believe it's the same kit!
  22. With all that trim, please tell me this one is going to be a stock Mach1! It'd be a shame to grind off all that beautiful engraving. I've thought about doing a similar restoration job on an original Palmer Boss 302, if I can ever get ahold of one. I know the nose is bad, but oh that body! Wait, that didn't come out right?!
