  1. Thank you! Even though the five spoke is possibly Ferrari's most iconic wheel design, I always liked the look of these.
  2. Thanks! I've only done a couple of trucks so far, but am going to have to try a few more.
  3. Thank you! My cartoon vehicle collection continues to grow.
  4. Nice! Same here, my subjects are all over the place so it sometimes takes a while for me to get to certain builds.
  5. Thanks! There's plenty of space to do so for anyone interested in trying it. You might also be able to get a Cobra engine to fit with some modification work.
  6. Thanks! I always vote "build it," you can still keep the box as a background display to go with it.
  7. Thank you!
  8. I recall Fujimi having some trouble with the proportions on their BMWs from that era, too...not sure if that speaks to the kit manufacturers or BMW's design team. The C5R skirts look pretty good on it.
  9. Congratulations Kurt!
  10. Fujimi kits for both the GT40 and 330 P. As often happens in Hollywood, the star cars weren't exactly historically accurate. It's less noticeable on the Ford, which was built more or less box stock and painted ScaleFinishes' "1966 Ford GT40 Light Blue." But the Ferrari was represented by a Race Car Replicas R4, based on the 1967 P4 rather than the 1966 P3. They also changed the markings, either to make it more photogenic or easier for the crew to reproduce as needed. I split the difference, swapping out wheels and mirrors then making my own markings that combined the original and movie cars. Writeups for them are available here and here, and any comments/criticisms are welcome.
  11. Nice touch seeing a Challenger wearing something other than Rallyes or Mags!
  12. Nicely done! I do wish more Aston Martins were available as kits.
  13. Glad this got bumped, I somehow missed it until now. Awesome work on the conversion, and congrats on the awards!
  14. Nice collection! Where were you able to find those hubcaps for the Challenger?
  15. Great looking group!
  16. This year I tried to finish off some "on hold" projects: partial builds, unboxed parts, and restorations: MotorMax Ford Crown Victoria, robbed for parts to another project and left unboxed; Safe Bburago Ferrari 275GTB, bought at a toy show with several parts missing/broken; C'était un rendez-vous AMT Peterbilt "California Hauler," started in 2020; Duel Lindberg Dodge 330, partial kit after using parts for other builds; 2021 "Cannonball Ruse" CBP entry; The Little Old Lady from Pasadena Muscle Machines Tree Shaker, broken in the box; Monster Garage Welly Lotus Elise, bought loose at a show and has been collecting dust since around 2008; Death Racers Revell Motorola Reynard, box/instructions/decals destroyed in a flood; Driven LEGO Model Team Highway Rig, one of my earliest custom projects from the late 80s but badly yellowed and dusty AMT Koach, started as part of a YouTube CBP in 2015; The Munsters MotorMax Ford Crown Victoria, in the planning stages since early 2000s but finally finished when the box got crushed; Animal Precinct Hasegawa Jeep Willy MB, had to swap out some parts after a mishap with another build last year; The Inglorious Bastards Maisto Corvette Z06, purchased for the pack-in truck but I got sick of tripping over it; Real Drift Modelhaus 1966 Impala, possibly my first purchase from Modelhaus and started immediately but put on hold when Revell announced their all-new '66; Mythbusters Revell '68 Charger, supposed to be 2020's Halloween build but I messed up the paint and it had to spend a while in the purple pond; House of Wax Danbury Mint Aston Martin DB5, started ~10 years ago as a pile of parts bought off eBay; Goldfinger MPC Coca-Cola Charger, built around an extra push bar I had; The Dukes of Hazzard Fujimi Ford GT40 and Ferrari 330P4, they were supposed to be done when the movie came out but got lost in the shuffle; Ford v Ferrari Revell Custom Cadillac Lowrider, probably the oldest of the lot here as it has been an on-and-off project for the last ~15 years; The Simpsons
  17. The Homer is definitely going to happen, I have the PL kit that I started way back. Likely the Canyonero, too, but I was hoping to start with Lindberg's 1/20 Ford Explorer for that one so it looks properly ginormous next to the other cars. Now I just need to find one at a reasonable price.
  18. Very clean work!
  19. I really like that photo of the Supra and Chevelle next to each other, the similar colors makes for a cool shot.
  20. Thanks, guys! I think the Jetsons car my be the only one of those I have in diecast. The First Edition/New Models series Hot Wheels did from 1997 to 2012 were the only ones I actually searched for, anything else was "if I happen to see it in the store..."
  21. It looks good in purple, nice job!
