  1. This year I tried to finish off some "on hold" projects: partial builds, unboxed parts, and restorations: MotorMax Ford Crown Victoria, robbed for parts to another project and left unboxed; Safe Bburago Ferrari 275GTB, bought at a toy show with several parts missing/broken; C'était un rendez-vous AMT Peterbilt "California Hauler," started in 2020; Duel Lindberg Dodge 330, partial kit after using parts for other builds; 2021 "Cannonball Ruse" CBP entry; The Little Old Lady from Pasadena Muscle Machines Tree Shaker, broken in the box; Monster Garage Welly Lotus Elise, bought loose at a show and has been collecting dust since around 2008; Death Racers Revell Motorola Reynard, box/instructions/decals destroyed in a flood; Driven LEGO Model Team Highway Rig, one of my earliest custom projects from the late 80s but badly yellowed and dusty AMT Koach, started as part of a YouTube CBP in 2015; The Munsters MotorMax Ford Crown Victoria, in the planning stages since early 2000s but finally finished when the box got crushed; Animal Precinct Hasegawa Jeep Willy MB, had to swap out some parts after a mishap with another build last year; The Inglorious Bastards Maisto Corvette Z06, purchased for the pack-in truck but I got sick of tripping over it; Real Drift Modelhaus 1966 Impala, possibly my first purchase from Modelhaus and started immediately but put on hold when Revell announced their all-new '66; Mythbusters Revell '68 Charger, supposed to be 2020's Halloween build but I messed up the paint and it had to spend a while in the purple pond; House of Wax Danbury Mint Aston Martin DB5, started ~10 years ago as a pile of parts bought off eBay; Goldfinger MPC Coca-Cola Charger, built around an extra push bar I had; The Dukes of Hazzard Fujimi Ford GT40 and Ferrari 330P4, they were supposed to be done when the movie came out but got lost in the shuffle; Ford v Ferrari Revell Custom Cadillac Lowrider, probably the oldest of the lot here as it has been an on-and-off project for the last ~15 years; The Simpsons
  2. The Homer is definitely going to happen, I have the PL kit that I started way back. Likely the Canyonero, too, but I was hoping to start with Lindberg's 1/20 Ford Explorer for that one so it looks properly ginormous next to the other cars. Now I just need to find one at a reasonable price.
  3. Very clean work!
  4. I really like that photo of the Supra and Chevelle next to each other, the similar colors makes for a cool shot.
  5. Thanks, guys! I think the Jetsons car my be the only one of those I have in diecast. The First Edition/New Models series Hot Wheels did from 1997 to 2012 were the only ones I actually searched for, anything else was "if I happen to see it in the store..."
  6. It looks good in purple, nice job!
  7. Great save on this!
  8. Nicely done!
  9. Trying to eke out a couple of late WIPs before the end of the year, and just got this one finished. It started as Revell's Custom Cadillac Lowrider. Four-door conversion, all-new front clip, modified trunk and rear bumper, custom seats, scratch built door panels, modified dash, and some junk in the trunk. A full writeup of what went into it is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome. Trunk details include the spare, some Lard Lad donut boxes, Duff Beer, Buzz Cola, and an errant piece of fuel rod made from a glow-in-the-dark toy part. A group shot with the other "The [Family]" cartoon cars I've done:
  10. Some awesome work, but that Kart...that's some next level building! Very cool, and now you've got me Googling Vette Karts.
  11. Awesome work! Is that Cleopatra's Corvette?
  12. Great group! Is that Solarcraft a scratchbuild?
  13. It doesn't get much cleaner than that, beautiful work!
  14. Iceman Collections does a '73 grille - I got one last year and it was very nicely done. He's currently working on a new site set to launch soon.
  15. Thanks!
  16. I really like the look of this one, great color choice!
  17. Nice work, that floating grille emblem turned out great.
  18. Excellent work on both!
  19. Beautiful builds! I'm glad to hear that it's what I was hoping, thanks for the heads up on it. I had tried the Revell full detail 308 GTS way back when, and it was such a frustrating mess of flash and ill-fitting parts that it ended up being one of the few kits that I reboxed and got rid of.
  20. OK, I found one that will work for '78 and isn't something that I've built already:
  21. My wife had a '92 Sunbird, other than Pontiac trying to get fancy with the engine it was a great little car. Nice to see the Cavalier built up!
  22. Very cool, it's great to see one of these built!
