  1. Nicely done! I just wrapped up one of these recently, and "some issues" is a very polite way of putting it!
  2. Nicely done, and great to see one in an unusual color!
  3. Thank you for bumping this, I had missed it before but it is a fantastic project!
  4. Beautiful work on this!
  5. I had bought the tin box reissue, which came with a pretty good photo reference book. Even so, there was a lot of guessing I had to do, and a lot of details that changed across the life of the car so there was never a right answer.
  6. Looks good, welcome!
  7. Very cool, that turned out great!
  8. Thanks, guys! The kit was very very much an "early" model, but at least provides a good starting point. Yeah, this was kind of a longer one - I try to keep things short but it doesn't always work ? Glad you like the look of the site! I'm a web/graphic designer by profession, and so it was built from the ground up. It's not my fanciest work, but it does everything I need it to and is easy for me to update.
  9. Nice recovery! I have one of these, and there was always something "off" about it but I wasn't sure what it was. After reading this, I bet it's the roof.
  10. Thanks!
  11. Some incredible custom work here, beautifully done!
  12. Really dig the look of that with the diffuser under the tailgate!
  13. Thank you!
  14. Looks good! The stance is perfect, and I like the extra engine detailing.
  15. Excellent work, I have one of these on the bench now.
  16. Thanks!
  17. Thanks, guys! Maybe? I can't remember...I built that one about 16 years ago, so I may have posted something back when I first joined up here. I saw a Laurel & Hardy Ford done up like that, it was a really stunning piece. I was thinking about doing something similar with a Sin City car, all black & white except for a single shot of color somewhere. I've heard that, this just happened to be my first experience with one. They really missed the mark, though it could probably pass for a V6 with a little work.
  18. I always liked these Ferraris, nicely done!
  19. Very nice, clean work all around.
  20. Looks good, nice job! And seconding Gloozalot - the only engine you could get in these barges was a V8. If you went with one of the smaller cars that year, the only six available in '76 was the 250 inline. IIRC, the first V6 Chevy offered was in '78.
  21. Awesome job on this, that looks fantastic!
  22. After years of pecking away at this one, I finally have it finished! It started as what I thought would be a more-or-less box stock build, but the engine was hideously undersized so I swapped it for one from a '67 Mustang. But that meant that the hood sides were too short and had to be fixed, and the chassis wouldn't fit, and there really wasn't any suspension to speak of, and, and, and. Next thing I know, I'm making new rear seat supports out of brass strip and 3D printing the side lanterns. About the only things that weren't completely reworked were the interior bucket, seats, and the rear 3/4 of the body. I'm still not 100% satisfied with it, but it's much better than what came out of the box. The usual write-up is available here, and as always comments/criticisms are welcome.
  23. Nicely done! I've wanted to build a replica of this rig, but like you said it gets expensive real quick.
