  1. Nicely done! I've built a couple of Nitto kits and while the subjects are always interesting they can be tricky thanks to their age and extra "play" features.
  2. Awesome work, that looks great!
  3. Same here, Rodger Dodger is one of those that just looks "right." I also had the Dixie Challenger, though one of my favorite decos is when they used it in their Cop Rods series. Nice to see it in 1/24, I'm hoping to try one myself some day.
  4. There were a couple of resin kits of Racer X's Shooting Star made years ago, but the only one I've found lately has had a $500 price tag and seller unwilling to budge. I'm tempted to just make one out of a Chaparral kit.

    synkro

Well played, using the Supra as a base for Synkro. I especially like the wheels, how did you make those?
  6. Nicely done, especially considering how it started! My only TKM is still in its box as well.
  7. Both look great, I forgot how much I like the look of the Daytona with the extra lights.
  8. Looking good, especially that cage! Getting close now...
  9. Very clean work, that's looking great!
  10. Awesome work as usual!
  11. Very clean work, that looks great!
  12. I like the wheel size, especially with those flares.
  13. The Dodge is coming together, hopefully not too much longer now! The supercharged Hemi has dual flex hose intakes taking cold air from right behind the grille, feeding a fabricated pressure box made from the factory air cleaners. Everything is tucked in there so as not to interfere with the plain flat hood, keeping the silhouette totally stock. As per the instructions, the auxillary gauges are supposed to be mounted on top of the dash. That was a little too obvious to me, so I moved them down to the transmission hump.
  14. Exactly. As long as I have fun with the build, and if I can capture the "spirit" of the subject, I'll accept the frustrations and flaws along the way and call it a win. Thanks again, looking forward to seeing what you do with yours!
  15. I did ask, the response was a simple "hope to have more soon." So not much to go on there. The trailer was a Keystome Aluminum tank body, so it could be the one you saw. The frame, wheels, suspension, and other parts were all stuff I added. Thank you! There is still a fair amount of interpretation here, either splitting the difference between screen-used trucks or adding some details in the spirit of the truck.
  16. They really do look good there! I've seen them listed, but have never tried a set myself...was hoping to do so as part of their "Convoy" kit, but that's currently out of production so looks like I'm playing the waiting game until he does some more. Fortunately, I have plenty to keep me busy!
  17. Time for a cross-ram manifold!
  18. Nice! Are those AITM's white metal mirrors?
  19. Thanks, guys! Awesome, looking forward to seeing yours!
  20. That looks great, nice work!
  21. After nearly a year pecking away at this one, I finally wrapped it up this morning. It's made up of the AMT "California Hauler" Pete, AITM hood conversion, Keystone tanker body, Moluminum wheels, ModelTruckin decals, and a whole lot of scratchbuilding and kitbashing. I converted the rear of the tractor to a walking beam style suspension with single drive and tag axle using parts from AMT's International Transtar, and much of the trailer frame is adapted from Lindberg's tanker trailer. The stupidly long writeup is available here, and a slideshow of it is available here. As always, any comments/criticisms are welcome!
