All I did on this one Ryan, was to re-drill the holes in the wheel hubs off-center a bit in order to raise them in the wheel wells. You would have to do something different if you’re using the stock wheels. Sorry for the late reply.? Thanks Jim! That is my issue with paint too. I never do anything the same way twice, so I never haven’t developed a “system” that guarantees results.?

Well I got the paint issues straightened out. I removed the mold seam, applied more paint and sanded it smooth after a few weeks in the dehydrator. Then two coats of Mr. hobby Premium clear…decals, foil, and another coat of clear. I will have to watch some videos on polishing before I decide whether or not to bother with it.? Thanks for lookin!?

Milliput would be another choice for filler. I have used the super fine white variety on both die cast and styrene. It sticks to both very well. -

I’m a big fan of Jeeps too…and yours looks great Joe!? Too bad this kit wasn’t made as a fully detailed one. -
This is a nice little kit! I had fun adding a few little details to it. I detailed the engine bay some, modified the trailer hitch with some 1/8” square aluminum tube, added sunvisors to the windshield frame and opened the side windows a bit. There is a huge gap between the inner and outer tailgate panels that I really should have filled somehow.? Paint is Vallejo light blue.

Interest in this hobby, it could be argued, is getting a boost from the advancements in 3d printing.

polystyrene glue, recommend
NOBLNG replied to fiatboy's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
These are pretty much the only glues I use. The Tamiya for bare plastic parts before paint. Thin CA for close fitting painted parts. The medium for less well fitting parts, and the epoxy for joints that need strength.
