  1. Absolutely!!!
  2. The Lincoln is looking Great Pat. It’s hard to focus on it though with all that eye candy around it! ?
  3. Thanks Joe. That is just Mr. Hobby clear gloss straight out of the can over the Aztek pearl. No polishing. That clear is not cheap, but it sure sprays nicely. Thanks Bob.?
  4. If you do it, be sure to post a build thread. There must be plenty of them out there because they just look so cool! I am surprised there is no kit. If anyone has pics of one, please post it here.
  5. Thanks Chris. There was a guy in Australia that was putting together a conversion kit. I don’t know if he ever got it to market?
  6. Thanks Steve. That is one beautiful Anglia!?
  7. I got the body mounted. It would not sit down nicely until I clipped off the locating pins.? They may be necessary for the highboy version??…but the fenders act as the locator for the coupe version.
  8. Maybe you could add a bit to the bumper horn? Unfortunately that would mean re-chroming it or painting it.?
  9. I’ve got the suspension and drivetrain in place now. I screwed up when I cut the windshield surround down, so I have to redo it. Once that is done, the windows can go in and the body can get mounted.
  10. When you say “theres not enough wall there” ….do you mean the body? Could the bumper itself be shaved to match the contour of the vehicle?
  11. Thanks All. This is just an idea I’ve had churning around in my head since seeing some pics on the net I want to build a hot rod kind of vehicle, so I am not locked into anything in particular.
  12. This is a nice little kit. Be careful with the chrome. I had some peel off of the radiator shell with my masking tape.
  13. So, in a nutshell, the can pushes the paint out, and the airbrush pulls the paint out. I can see the method of puncturing the can and slowly releasing the pressure allowing more propellant to remain in the paint. I think spraying the paint through a straw in order to decant it allows a lot more of the propellant to escape initially. A secondary spraying through the air brush has always relieved the rest of it in my experience. I spray it into a siphon bottle and use an external mix airbrush, which may or may not factor in? This could be like the red plastic bleed problem….some folks experience it and some don’t. I’m not denying that it can happen, just that some condition or procedure is different.?‍♂️
  14. Fantastic job Manuel ! Your attention to detail is impressive. ?
  15. Thanks Mark. That’s what I was wondering. I have downloaded a few good pics and articles on the subject already. Hi David. I have two complete kits that I bought mainly for parts. I want to tub it, with a narrowed rear, and tuck the tires in so they fit inside the stock fenders, or maybe a set of custom wider bobbed fenders?
  16. What’s the best way to tackle this? I want to put the tires from the AMT ‘67 pro street Chevelle under a Revell 5 window coupe. Or is there a kit out there that would be a better starting point? This will be a street machine, not a racecar. Thanks in advance, Greg.
  17. Great looking truck! That color is perfect on it.?
  18. Wow Joe! That interior is looking fantastic! ?
  19. Looks beautiful Michael. Great attention to detail! ?
  20. So why doesn’t this same scenario occur when painting a model directly from the can? Just curious.?
  21. Well….You nailed, thats for sure!
  22. I got the engine put together and wired today. I had painted it when I did the first original candy coats on the body, but never assembled it, as I was worried that I may have to strip it.? The spark plug boots I made from some stripped wire insulation and some styrene discs that I punched out. The wires looms are made from a pop can. I shortened the fan belt and relocated the alternator, since I didn’t like it hanging out there in the middle of nowhere.?Also did the accents on the wheels at the same time.
  23. Thanks Bil. I added the larger piping and painted it what I thought was going to be body color. I think it adds some contrast and ties the interior in with the body.
  24. Thanks Bob. Yep, it’s a Hemi! I’m doing some elements of both the hiboy and the coupe versions. I have 3 or 4 of these kits….so this one is getting fenders. Thanks Steve. The Zinnser seems to have worked, mind you this Aztek is water based whereas the Pactra was a hot laquer. They make a few varieties of Zinnser, so make sure you get the shellac based stuff.
  25. Here’s a couple I made from a coat hanger and some wood.
