  1. Now that is cool! Can you imagine the look on the truckers faces when that thing passes them on the highway? ?
  2. These are my favourite tools and I’ve got a complete set of ten.? Despite a few close calls over the years, I’ve managed not to lose any of them.?
  3. Nice job! That is one very realistic looking work truck.?
  4. Thank Mike! I think real chains are a must, even if the gate won’t open, it just looks better IMO. Thanks Larry! Thanks Bill! It’s too bad they didn’t supply an extra hood, windshield frame and tailgate with the Willys emblems molded in instead of all the surrey junk.? Thanks Gary! I enjoyed building it. Thanks Brian!
  5. Well you seem to have mastered those black paint jobs! It looks great! ?

  7. It looked fine in the glossy finish…but the matte finish is like…Wow! It does indeed have a sort of anodized look. Is that clear in a bottle or spray bomb?
  8. Looking great. I just started a project that I want to channel over the frame too, so I am watching with interest!??
  9. Wow, that is a very striking colour! This will definitely stand out in the crowd…in quite a number of ways!?
  10. Thanks Steve. Sorry to side track the thread Mike. I like what you’ve done with the wheelwell trim. I need to do that on a kit I’m working on, and will be stealing that idea.?
  11. I have not dealt with Fireball, but Scenes Unlimited has very nice tires and the dimensions are listed on their website. You just need a set of calipers to measure your rims.
  12. Excellent job Dennis! Just the right amount of lift in my eyes.?
  13. My pleasure Alan!? Thanks. They were made from 1945 to 1949. More info here: https://www.kaiserwillys.com/about_willys_jeep_cj2a_history_specs
  14. Thanks Everyone! I started it to have something to putter on in between other projects and became a little obsessed with it.?
  15. Yeah, if you have an accident with one of those you’d likely need a tourniquet, not a band aid,?
  16. I have not used or even seen the photo etch chains, but here is what I did with chains from Michaels. They are 27 links per inch in size.
  17. That is one awesome looking Ranchero! Super nice clean build.?
  18. I noticed that the windshield was melted, but the bag was sealed and didn’t look melted. Turns out it looks like it was stepped on at some point. The box should have been a clue.? Luckily the cab and front fenders are fine. The hood suffered the worst. I’ve recently built a stock one and I bought this one with the intent to hot rod it anyway…so it may get a hood or not??
  19. This is the MPC Godzilla kit built as a Civilian unit. It’s a fun little kit although not highly detailed….so I added some of my own.? The winch is from Olsen Bros. and the color is Mr. Hobby Russet. Thanks for looking. All comments appreciated. 20. Well this one is about done. The CJs did not have a glove box like the MBs, so I got rid of it and printed a new dash plaque. I also replaced the lumps that the kit had for the park brake handle, throttle and choke knobs. I also scratched out a new rear view mirror and a wiper setup. Thanks for looking.? 21. That stance looks right on in my eye!?
  22. Two newer ones and this old beast! This is the second day in a row that they plowed our street.
