  1. Lookin' good! I have a couple of these, but I'm not sure how I want to build them yet.
  2. I think either one could be done with a little practice.

    '69 Yenko Camaro

Nice job! I like the darkened chrome, it looks much more realistic.

Nice clean build! Paint looks beautiful. Do you have any close ups of the interior? It looks like you've done some detailing in there.
  5. What exactly is a great tip? There have been a few on this thread.
  6. I bet I could get across the city quicker in my Miata!
  7. You can get a fairly nice private jet for that money... of course parking is a bit more of a problem.
  8. I agree! You would think they could re-design the grill to be aerodynamic, yet keep the Bugatti styling cues. Heck, even I could do it!
  9. You gave me an idea... could you use a drill bit and the drill gage as a "punch and die" to cut circles out of heavy kitchen foil or thin styrene sheet? I am going to try it next project that needs it!
  10. Very well done! Super clean build!
  11. Those mods are so that he can park up on the median at the mall so that no one will dent his doors.
  12. Glad You stuck with it. It turned out beautiful in spite of all the issues.
  13. Thanks Bill! I will pick some of that up tomorrow. I have some Model Master Clear parts Cement & Window Maker. I don`t know if it is similar, but it says to remove the paint.
  14. Here's a couple. https://www.google.ca/search?biw=1231&bih=504&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=JvECW7L_JImb5gL2rryABg&q=1966+chevy+nova+door+panel+removed&oq=1966+chevy+nova+door+panel+removed&gs_l=img.12...11185.19906.0.22286.21.20.1.0.0.0.138.2183.0j19.19.0....0...1c.1.64.img..1.1.137...0i8i30k1.0.r0BsQ14f5fo
  15. Do you have a link for the place in England that you ordered from? Thanks!
  16. I want to paint the interior of this model an off-white. All the glues I have say to remove paint where applicable. So how do I go about glueing the windows to this orange plastic and not have the orange showing through after? I don't want to look inside and see an orange border all around the windows. I have tried painting a "moulding" strip around the inside edge of the glass on previous models, but have not really liked the results. Thanks for any tips or tricks.
  17. You Tube Videos! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that they are putting the effort in to help those who want it ... but why do they have to natter on about irrelevant stuff and turn 10 minutes worth of advice into a 25 minute video?
  18. Put a cookie tray filled with kitty litter underneath where it drips and call it a day. That is good rust-proofing!
  19. I like the concept. Tow truck would be neat!
  20. I wasn't really keen on buying this kit...but I had a coupon. I figured it would give me something to do in between spurts on another project. I think this has to be one of the poorer kits I have acquired! There is a lot of heavy flash on most parts. The wheels in particular were difficult to clean up. The only chrome parts are the grill, bumpers and shifter, no chrome rims, no chrome engine bay goodies. Also the plastic in this kit seems closer to polypropylene than styrene? It has the consistency of a water bottle lid, and I can easily dent it with my fingernail. The nicest part of this kit I think are the tires.

    El Camino!

Not my favorite El Camino body style, but nice job! The wheels and tires really POP on that thing.
  22. That weathering job is awesome...but the interior still has that new car smell.
  23. Yeah, to top it off, three of them have a fairly sharp cone in the center and three of them are more of a rounded dome! Thanks. Yes, I intend to drill two of them out and glue in a piece of clear sprue.
  24. I just started the AMT '70-1/2 Camaro today. I love how yours is turning out. Very nice!
  25. Thanks for the tip! I have not been happy with any of the puttys I have.
