  1. That is exactly what I was planning on doing. I already figured that I wouldn’t be able to use the hood sides. I just went and checked now and the valve covers actually touch the fenders and the headers will likely interfere more.?
  2. Thanks Alan. My skills are nowhere near the upper levels displayed by some of the folks on this forum. I am however having fun trying to improve them a bit with each build. And I like to pass along any tricks or ideas I stumble upon along the way. Yes, it is going to be Tamiya TS-11 maroon, which is fairly close to what my 1:1 is. Thanks John.
  3. There are three different interpretations of what “rubber gaskets” the OP was enquiring about. I assumed he wanted to fabricate the gaskets. Painting the existing molded in gaskets is another, and painting the frit (I had to look up the name) is another. Everyone has provided good solutions for all three scenarios.
  4. Cool looking little roadster. Dang that rust looks real.?
  5. Not at all, that’s why I posted it in this section. Now if you took it from my build thread....?
  6. Congratulations! I’m glad the business was good to you. Sorry I never got the opportunity to deal with you. Enjoy your retirement!?

    56 Chevy

Well done!? That is one of the best weathering jobs I’ve seen....now sent it to me so I can restore it.?
  8. Yes. Evergreen and Plastruct have it in different sizes. If I recall, I cold bent it around the drill bit while holding it flat to the board with the tweezers. Then warmed it slightly with the lighter to “set” the bend.
  9. Nice clean build. The interior looks especially nice.?
  10. I’ve certainly got no tips for you.? It looks mighty fine to me!?

Very slick looking car. The colour looks great on it!
  12. Fabulous work. That paint job is beautiful and I love all the little turned aluminum goodies on it. ?
  13. Very nicely done up. How did you get that rig in there??
  14. Looking fine there Mark. I like Tamiya’s LP line of paints too. They spray nicely through the airbrush also.
  15. Thanks. I just placed an order this morning for some T-14s, T-17s and some rims. I’ve gotten tires and rims from him before and they are excellent quality! ?Unfortunately the super swampers are discontinued.☹️
  16. This one? It look like you’ve got a pretty accurate start on it.?
  17. Excellent Progress! I wish I was that efficient. I like these big old Chevys too. I had a ‘68 Biscayne 4 door, a ‘69 Impala 2 door ht, a ‘70 BelAir, and a ‘71 Caprice.
  18. The outer floor pan is attached but could easily be cut off and the frame shortened? This is the Crew Chief Blazer frame laid on top of it. The Blazer frame is 1.23” wide, the truck frame is 1.4” wide.
  19. At least he didn’t grab the preparation H instead of the toothpaste.?
  20. I must have missed those when I was looking around on their site.? Thanks for taking the time to measure those for me!?
  21. Thanks Brian. These are the44’s you mentioned? Any chance you have the outer diameter handy? I see what you mean about the inner sidewalls and air bubbles. I think I would have to rig them up on the lathe somehow.
  22. That would be great. You can post them or pm me with them. Thanks!
  23. Ha anyone ordered the 4x4 tires from prostreethobbies? Thanks! https://www.ebay.ca/itm/324564458920
