  1. Just move the tree over a little bit.😜
  2. Super nice job on the interior!👍
  3. Good to hear the colors work nicely. I haven’t tried them and didn’t know if the clears only came with one nozzle or if mine was missing? I e-mailed Vallejo saying how disappointed I was with their product. They replied asking for photos of the label so they could determine the batch number for their chemistry department. I sent them along with a complaint about the lack of a low flow nozzle. I’ll post any further response I get here.
  4. Well you made a pretty decent looking rat rod out of it in my eye Bob.👍 I kind of grimaced when I first saw the cab, but you brought it all together. Nice scratch building.😎
  5. Outstanding bodywork and the paint is a work of art there Lee!👍 It’s a real beauty, and the stance is perfect!😎 Whatcha got for an engine in that bad boy?
  6. Nice looking Galaxie Nathan.👍 It looks like you tried applying the decals as one piece? Next time try cutting them into sections at the door jambs. You can lay a full length strip of tape down as a guide to keep the chunks aligned. After all, they would be applied in sections (or cut at the seams) on a 1:1.
  7. Nice clean looking Challenger.👍
  8. Fantastic looking Lark Joe!👍😎
  9. You can buy a separate 1/2 or 1 gallon tank and plumb it inline.
  10. Even the short screw and stubby screwdriver was an improvement over the allen key. One thing to watch out for is if you have a spray pot for cleaning, that the thumbscrew doesn’t get in the way. Not a problem with my home-made one.🙂
  11. Nice…it’s got a beautiful wooden case that is guaranteed for life.🙄
  12. Thank You all Friends! 🙂 This was a glue bomb squirrel that landed on my bench. I just started disassembling it and it snowballed from there.😬 It is a great looking car and I’d love to have a real one, but this one was much more affordable.😎
  13. And don’t forget about the other half of the equation….you need an adequate, stable supply of clean dry air. Sometimes the airbrush gets blamed when the air supply is causing the issue.
  14. Yes it is and single action also. You set the airflow via a separate regulator, and paint flow by how far you unscrew the nozzle. Dirt simple and easy to clean.🙂 It also has a 1/4oz. Cup that I use most of the time.
  15. There was a thread on those a while back…the one I got didn’t release the CA. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/185538-ca-glue-and-paint-fidget/
  16. You might get lucky with a cheap one, or you might get a dog that turns you off airbrushing for life. I would suggest getting a simple (not necessarily cheap); as in single action-external mix one for starters. Why spend the money twice…assuming you just want to paint models and not do artwork etc. Edit: Just for clarity, my definition of cheap is an off-brand unit with no after market parts or support. I bought an Iwata Eclipse for my first airbrush. It’s a beautiful piece of equipment. Then I bought a Paasche H and have not touched the Iwata since. While not the cheapest airbrush, it is not expensive either. I would recommend it as a first (and quite likely only) airbrush. It has a cup for small chores and bottles for larger jobs and/or mixing colors. Badger has a similar unit that users rave about, but I have no experience with it. JMO.🙂
  17. Thank you Peter. if you scroll up you will see you already posted this same response. I tried the needles and wasn’t impressed. My latest version is something new that I find works very well. You can pick up however much CA you want with it. Just another option for anyone who wants to give it a try. Edit: I think I will drill two holes in a large piece of sprue or Evergreen and mount two separate wires. That’ll free up the hobby knife handle for other uses.
  18. As I said, it comes out like a firehose…however that should have no effect on the finish durability. A week in the dehydrator should be plenty of time to have dried it completely.
  19. Well I am sure not impressed with this stuff.😕 After a week in the dehydrator it collects finger prints like crazy. They will wipe off with a very hard rubbing with a micro-fiber cloth. They can be polished off with Tamiya fine polishing compound, but more handling results in more fingerprints that again won’t wipe off easily.🤬 I guess this will wind up back in the pond…again.😕 I really like Mr. Hobby clear but the LHS I got this from is always sold out of stuff.
  20. Advantages of trial fitting all your model pieces before paint are many.
  21. Quality control is probably the biggest issue with cheapos?
  22. Looks like it turned out pretty darn good to me….I likey!👍😎
  23. Looks really sharp!😎
