  1. Cool!? I picked up a built one a while back. The tires have softened the rims badly, so I cast the best one. Do you have a build thread?
  2. Nice! I had a PHR subscription back in the 70’s and I looked forward to every issue.?
  3. Outstanding work Mozzi!? This is going to be a real looker when done.?
  4. This should be interesting! Your stuff is a work of art and I really like the clear explanation of how and why you’re doing what you’re doing. I like the concept too.??
  5. I Believe you are correct Lei. Thanks.?
  6. Thanks Jim. The interior is actually Mr. Color #69 “Off White”. I think it will be a nice contrast to the Maroon exterior.? My speeds are: Plodding, full stop, and back the truck up.? Thanks Topher!?
  7. Profit shouldn’t be confused with prophet.
  8. Got the interior finished. I used foil for the seats and upper chrome molding on the doors, Revell Chrome on the rest. I replaced the shifter with a pin. I’m not happy with how the carpet turned out, but it won’t really be visible easily once the body is on.? I am using the GTO decals from the Polar Lights kit.
  9. Picked up a very tiny Tamiya paint brush from a local hobby shop, and the hobby knife from Princess Auto.
  10. No need to be stingy with the glue now!?
  11. It’s easy to do. The plastic is very thin along the cut lines.
  12. Try typing (site:modelcarsmag.com Revell ‘69 Boss 302 WIP) into google. Without the engine in place it’s hard to tell what might be wrong? FWIW: Here’s a couple of pics I snatched off the website.
  13. I got the chassis finished. I painted the roof and engine bay with semi-gloss black. Then I gave the roof a coat of Testors dullcoat, and I thought it looked a little too shiny compared to my previous attempts. I used Tamiya XF-86 flat clear on the others, so I gave it a coat, but this time it came out dead flat.? So I gave it a coat of AK satin varnish…and now I’m pretty much back to the original SG finish.? I’m not sure I can put anything over the varnish so it will have to do. i guess the owner went crazy with the Armor-all.?
  14. Thanks for info and pics Steven.? I know what you mean about not being able to un-see stuff.? I was wondering if you widened the seat, so I went back to your build thread and I see why it wasn’t feasible on that one. I may try it on the Corvair? It was $2 kit so I have little to lose. I think if I add a sliver in the center and a sliver on both sides, it should look Ok.
  15. Thanks for the info Mark. I see what you mean about the gap. However lowering the floor would mean the step-up on the chassis would now interfere with the rear seat footwell.? It’s more work than I care to get into.
  16. Do any re-issues of this kit have the proper interior for a coupe? Anyone here corrected the kit part…not an easy task.?
  17. Beautiful work Glen!? It looks like a factory job.?
  18. Just found your build thread Curtis, so I had to zip over here for a look at the finished product. I gotta say, It’s a real beauty!? Fantastic work on all the details, and the colours look great together. Well done.?
  19. Monsters under the bed are a common childhood nemesis.
  20. I agree, beautiful color!?
  21. The paint job looks beautiful John!?
  22. This is coming along very nicely Bob.?
  23. Sharp looking interior!?
  24. Thanks, I never would have guessed that.?
