I resolve to keep hurtling down the same path as last year….buying whatever kit catches my eye, and finishing a kit for every 2 or 3 that I start.🥴 Don’t wanna set myself up for disappointment.😳

Selection of your next model project should be done with next to no forethought.

The main thing is to have a new, sharp blade and use a VERY light touch. Exacto blades are fine and I particularly like their z-series blades but they are expensive compared to regular blades or scalpel blades.

I was just thinking about this today…but with regards to music. Songs that I didn’t like in the ‘80s and ‘90s are now sorta like classics.🙄

I got these on Amazon. They are #11 blades. I went with a round handle since I figure it will work better for doing sharp curves when foiling. I’ve only used it a couple of times but I like it so far and would recommend getting the round handle. They will fit into a standard exacto knife handle, but don’t go in all the way.

Might be easier to build the fujimi kit as a replica and make a wild custom out of the Revell kit? I have a Testors (Fujimi) kit that I have been putting off starting for a while now…so I am interested in what you can do with this one.😎

Looking good! You could switch to lacquers or acrylics. Both dry quicker than enamels. I’m no paint expert, but you could also try thinning the Rustoleum with a bit of lacquer thinner?
