Ecomomy class is the only way I fly!

That is really looking great Dennis…and thanks for the detailed explanations of the build techniques and the choices you’ve made. I’ve always appreciated hot rods but have no real-life experience building them, so I get to learn a lot about what is “right” from your builds.??

Safety in modeling means keeping bandaids handy and don’t sniff the glue.

Space alien and other subliminal messaging, mind reading and electromagnetic waves I believe, are actually blocked by the foil.

Beautiful! I like what I see in the background too.?

I don’t think you will get that styrene to lay down to properly look like plug wires. I would either get a pre-wired one or get some actual wire. I use 30 gage (.020”) wire wrapping wire….still technically a tad large, but It looks ok in my eye. Good work on the exhaust tips…it is tough drilling those sharply angled tips.

Yeah, I’ve got no trouble glueing the lids on the CA bottles.?

I have sharpened the trim scriber to a chisel point and used it to scrape a relief for window glass and posted it somewhere on here before I’m sure. But this is an easy upgrade. I took a short piece of coat hanger wire and sharpened it on both ends to a chisel point. Then soldered it to another piece of coat hanger. Now it can be chucked in a pin vise and used as an inside scraper or an outside scraper. Being chucked in a pin vise makes it far easier to handle. The width and profile can be filed to suit your needs.?

Absolutely beautiful work Jim. It’s nice to work with a kit that wants to cooperate isn’t it.?

I’ve got paint on it, but I keep winding up with a bit of trash in the paint.? I swept and vacuumed the garage floor the other day so I will try another coat, then some clear.

Scenes Unlimited wheel back equivalent
NOBLNG replied to Brutalform's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I am really disappointed that Scenes Unlimited is no longer. They had some really nice wheels and tires. A wheel back like that should be fairly easy to fabricate though from sheet stock….especially if you have some large 1/2”-5/8”? punches. Depending on what wheels you have…I’m not a fan the solid wheel backs anyway. -
