  1. I have it glued now Steve. I'm just going to attach the vent widows to it and hopefully it will look ok.
  2. Looks awesome Sam.
  3. Looks great John.
  4. Thank you Rusty and Bill. I did buy the kit used but the glass was sealed in a bag in the kit. The head lights and such that was also in the bag fit the caddy. I already gued it in figuring what else I could do. I was think of using the Dremel on it. And also thought that maybe it's like that to glue the vent windows in. And yes Rusty. I like the light greens because you can't find them to often This was a special mix I ordered from O'Reilly's. It a 1966 GM green.
  5. Not sure what to do about the Caddy’s windshield glass. It seems bigger than the frame.
  6. Been working on these.
  7. Had both already. No effects with the first one and just a bit achy and a slight fever with the second. But that lasted about half a day. Had the Pfizer.
  8. I must live in the wrong state. Never come across anything like this here.
  9. That looks great. I might have to copy it. :-) I have a couple in the store room. Why I haven't built it I do not know.
  10. These are nice kits to start with and still relatively cheap. If you have a hobby lobby stop at one when thy have he 40% off sale going on. Which might be next week. They might have the 57 chevy kit there. It looks like this.
  11. I have between 400 to 500 kits stored in the basement on shelves. Going to start weeding them out as I have many duplicate kit thinking if I screwed one up really badly. I could build another one. But at age 66. I double I'll ever get them all done. LOL
  12. Really nice.

    Nice. I like the yellow.
  14. Looks really nice Michelle. I like your color choice.
  15. Hey Casey. I glued the wheels on seeing they just fell off. I did assembly the wheels just like the instructions showed. Now I find it's missing 2 taillights. I bought all these kits over the years at model car shows. Opened. I'm learning that when the seller says they are complete. They usually are not. But how do you stand there and check each piece. Good to know about the kits because I have a few of them. 3 1955 Chevy convertibles. 1 1959 Caddy Hard top. 4 1959 Impalas. 2 hardtops and 2 convertibles. 1965 Chevy convertibles. 1956 Nomad. and the 1950 Ford Pickup. Will I ever get around to building them all? At age 66. I doubt it. LOL And thank you for the info.
  16. Here in upstate NY. Duplicolor has 2 different primers in the auto parts stores. I can take a picture of them tomorrow.
  17. I use these also. But use a really good primer before hand.
  18. The can that cost $11 Steve. There are other Duplicolor primers that run around $6. In the same auto parts store. but the paint burned through them.
  19. Thank you Jim.
  20. Thank you Anders. It's one of my favorite cars that I owned in my youth.
  21. I followed your advice Steve seeing how beautiful your builds come out. But the more expensive primer. I tried the cheaper Duplicolor primer and it didn't protect the plastic as well as the more expensive one. At least with my experience.
  22. I use the more expensive Duplicolor primer. I didn't have any luck with the cheaper version.
  23. OK. Thank you Frank and David E.. I was just wondering how others felt about this kit. And are all the monogram kit's instructions this bad? And do I just glue the wheels to the axels even though the instructions say no glue?
