  1. I hope to have a better garage scene someday. Is yours made out of wood? Or foam core? That impala is nice. I have a bunch of smaller die cast packed away. I had them out on display but the plastic kits have pushed them out of the cabinet. And I have my Matchbox cars along with Matchbox city and a matchbox fire station. Almost all of them are in their boxes but the thing is. I wrote on top of the boxes what was in each box so I didn't have to keep pulling the boxes out. I'm told that ruined the boxes. I think it gave them character. And a few Corgi's and Dinky's from my childhood. I had a Prameta Buick but my younger brother stole it and traded it for a GI Joe. Here's a photo of one.
  2. Your builds are amazing. Really nice
  3. Really nice.
  4. A beautiful build.
  5. I agreed Rex. Too narrow and too low. I did look to see if I could at least raise it. It was beyond my ability. Randy. You are right. Two day build which you need time to time. And the garage scene is from the clear cases you can buy to put your models in. I just taped two together. I bought them at Hobby Lobby but you can buy them most likely any where. Snake. I tried to pop the headlights out but they were in there pretty solid and I was afraid I’d make it worse. But I will remember to use white as I have used silver. And it had a shiny and dull choice of wheels and I chose the shiny. I like yours in red. Next in die cast is a 2010 Charger. Then a 1/18 scale American Grafitti 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible Die cast. This one is panted red. But I have another that is just in primer and another one that is the 1955 Chrysler 300.
  6. Thank you. Something was warped because the hood doesn't sit flat. The bodies are strapped down for years at this point. Might be why. I could try heating it and seeing if I could make it fit better. But I'm not that experienced of a builder.
  7. For $8.00 I had to buy it. No opening doors, trunk or hood. LOL I have one I bought from the store last year that is molded all in red and has sportier wheels. That's why I thought it might be older. But none the leas an easy build right?
  8. I was at the Hobby Lobby today and they are doing inventory. Like 70 people there doing it. Here in NYS. If you own a business. You have to pay tax on the inventory in your store during the month of January. Reason there are so many big sales during this month be it automobiles, furniture, or what ever. Might be why the manager told me the new models will be released at the end of the month. Easier inventory of its sealed in a huge box and not on the shelves. It might also mean mark downs in February if certain kits didn't move.
  9. Really nice build. A question if you would. Do you ever glue the chassis to the body? I've seen this in the club and was wondering.
  10. This was a kit that I embellished the engine and interior a bit. Nothing special really.
  11. I actually finished this kit in December. A Pro Shop kit so it makes even me look like a better than average builder.
  12. I got this 1957 Chevy in the mail today for $8.00 including shipping. I think it's an early kit? But an easy one to mess around with. I bought the Lincoln because I have a 1962 annual model. I've located an original front bumper piece. And hopefully the hood. But the red tail lights are hard to find. I bid on a pair on eBay and I stopped at $10.50 plus $5.00 shipping. This kit was $19 and change with a discount coupon at HL. I figure it's a better way to get the tail lights I need and I'll build this kit custom. Yes. You heard me right. And use the taillights in my annual. The monster truck I picked up thinking someone in the club might want it. I know all kits are not availible to everyone nationwide. I also used my new paint booth this past weekend and it worked out fine. I primed a 62 Chevy 409. A Christine Plymouth. A 55 Chevy Stepside. A 64 CHevy SS. And a 56 Ford Victoria. Next comes painting them in a few weeks after the primer airs out. All but the Christine model were started kits that I bought at garage sales to play and learn more about the art of painting. Maybe even get my air brush going.
  13. Pretty sharp.

    Looks great. Nice color combo.
  15. Hope your dad has a speedy recovery. Nice build.
  16. Looks like the real deal.
  17. All really nice but love the interior of the VW Bus.
  18. Came out great.
  19. I'll have to try that on the orange Challenger. I'll try it where the rear plate would go just in case.
  20. Very unique and nice.
  21. Really very nice.
  22. Absolutely stunning if you ask me. Love it.
  23. My local Hobby Lobby told me they won’t be in till the end of January. I don’t know if that covers all their store. It’s January inventory time.
  24. Thank you all for the nice comments. Snake. I have the orange one to build also.
  25. The Ocean State Job Lot in Schenectady, NY had this one for $9.99
