  1. Outstanding lineup! I haven’t watched NASCAR since Rusty, Bobby and the King were driving those very cars. Some of the finest nostalgic stock car builds I’ve seen. I love that Daytona as well.
  2. Fantastic realism! I swear I think I just saw this thing pass the house 10 minutes ago! Super nice work.
  3. What a cool project! Everything about the CJ5 looks “just right” from stem to stern. I can’t imagine any wheels looking better on it than those steelies. I also really like the weathering on the project Jeep- convincing, but not over the top. This build has all the signs of a labor of love. Kudos, Tom!
  4. Goodness gracious!! That is absolutely, positively stunning!
  5. Very fine looking kitty cat! So clean...
  6. Beautiful. If only we could all do “quickie” builds this nice....
  7. @Plowboy @cobraman @ModelcarJR @charger74 @Lunajammer @StevenGuthmiller @89AKurt @Tom Geiger @bisc63 @grodudulle77 @donb @Geno @PappyD340 @crazyjim @espo @ewetwo @slusher @wrenchr @ChrisR Thanks a million for the kind comments, one and all. It’s humbling to have a build recognized by fellow builders who stick together some of the finest examples of scale models I’ve ever seen. You guys, and many, many more on this forum set a lofty standard.
  8. Thank you for the kind words, gentlemen. In hindsight, I wish I had started a WIP thread. Honestly, I wasn’t sure it would see completion. Dave, that’s a loaded question concerning the glue. LOL. The first step was stripping the chrome from the decorative rear quarter pieces. On the pins and divots of the body panels I applied Tamiya liquid. Then I measured from left-front to right-rear and from right-front to left-rear to ensure it was square and used a jerry-rigged jig to hold it in place. Once that was dry, I carefully ran Plastruct Bondene along all of the horizontal seams, rechecked the squareness and rejigged it until it dried again. Finally, in the inner four corner joints I applied Gorilla 5 minute epoxy.
  9. Call it what you want, my friend. I call it one cool build! Having fun doing it is what it’s all about. I’ll be looking more closely at this one later today. I always find neat aspects of your models when I come back to them a second or third time. Cheers.
  10. Thank you for the kind comments, gentlemen. I can safely declare with 99% certainty, that if I had attempted this kit as a teenager, it would have met it’s end in a spectacularly explosive fashion. There’s something to be said for mellowing with age..
  11. Beautiful Galaxie! Your careful attention to detail shines through on her.
  12. Beautiful Duster, Curtis. The vinyl top is a great touch. The color screams “1973."
  13. Outstanding paint and finish, Salih. Beautiful Porsche!
  14. Very nice! My high school Chem teacher drove a patina/rusted sky blue one. He was about 6’8” so it looked like he was wearing it rather than sitting in it.
  15. Gorgeous work! Really hard to pick a favorite. That Willys looks like it was just poured out of a bottle!
  16. Nice looking model. One thing I despise about building kits of modern cars/trucks is agonizing over all the black trim around the windows and almost always screwing it up. Looks like you nailed it though.
  17. If it has any flaws, ya can’t see them from my house. Sharp little Nissan.
  18. Fantastic builds, Mark, especially the bikes. Clean, crisp detail all the way around.
  19. Holy cow that’s fantastic!
  20. Gorgeous wagon, Dave.
  21. Great crop of builds, Nigel. The Cedric is special.
  22. BEAUTIFUL! The Challenger T/A is one of my top 5 dream cars. And Panther Pink is one of my favorite Hi Impact colors.
  23. That’s a nice piece of model building, Greg. Beautiful color combo.

    My 2020

I swear, Roger, that looks more like a hall of fame lineup than one year’s work. And that Edsel(?) wagon..... Dude. Wicked!
  25. Gorgeous builds, Tony! Quality over quantity. And that Olds.... Wow!
