Fantastic!! Brings back memories. A neighbor from down the road had one when I was a kid until his college aged son totaled it. Beautiful truck build, Steve. -

Looking good! Dang cameras these days are always showing things I didn’t know I’d done. To the other fellows’ point, it does look intentional. Nothing wrong with a happy accident and nothing wrong with this build. Nice detail under the hood too, BTW. -
Aside from the high parts count (250+, I think) I can assure you that there is nothing about this kit that should intimidate anyone, especially skilled modelers such as yourselves. This kit is remarkably well engineered, even by Fujimi standards. Outside of opening up a few holes at attachment points a smidge, I had zero fitment issues. I had a little trouble with the hinge mechanisms on the bonnet and trunk, but I’m almost certain that that was operator error. A big “thank you” to everyone for the comments!

She’s doggone gorgeous! I’ll echo the sentiment on the great looking, unusual color combo.

Beautiful work on all of them.

Fan-dang-tastic! Purist or not, that is a beautiful restoration.

I built one of these as a teenager that I had received as a Christmas gift. It was the first kit I had laid hands on that wasn’t an American subject by an American model maker. I remember being blown away by the parts count and detail. I also remember what a total hack job I made of it. I saw this one on ebay a few months ago and pounced on it. I’m not what you’d call a “Porsche guy” but I have always loved the looks and lines of the 356s. I tried to keep the paint/interior colors period correct looking. The color is Tamiya AS-29 Gray Green with Testors Wet Look clear. Other than wiring the distributors and adding coils it’s box stock. I cracked the cowl while polishing her out. Thanks for looking. Comments, questions, tips, pointers, critiques and conversations are always welcome. Namaste.

Beautiful build of one of my favorite cars.

Fantastic looking Merc!

Razor sharp, crisp and classy. I really dig the color combo.

Nicely done! Toss a Members Only jacket and a few “Mix-tapes” in the passenger seat and the look will be complete.

Holy smokes! This must be how the cavemen felt when the aliens visited. You’re up there zipping around in some unfathomable technology and I’m smashing rocks together trying to build a fire. All BS aside, just incredible, Claude. Wildly imaginative and flawlessly executed! -
BMF, stepping up my game

Looking good! I’m one of the oddballs that actually enjoys applying BMF. It’s the one stage of a build where I just zen out and get completely lost in concentration. Keep them super sharp Xacto blades handy!
